What would you pay??

Pay now or pay later. Get the one with less miles, it seems like its in good shape from what you describe. Plus you'll be happy with the luxury items the truck has installed. Too bad it doesn't have the fancy mirrors though.

See if he takes 11500

This is purely my way of thinking opinion. I drive 10k a year so in 4.5 yrs. the 02 will be at about the same mileage as the 03 is right now. So I would go with the 02. That said if I didn't have to have a truck today. I would wait a week go back to the guy with the 02, offer $500 less than his current price hopeful he takes or at least split the difference.

Most people over price when selling... and allow barter room. Just don't show your hand too early... and remember, the truck will not sell the minute you walk away from it ( it's taken me years to learn that !)

I first spotted my truck about 2 months ago.. I got chance to look at it a number of times as the guy also sells me pool chemicals.

I knew it wasn't going to sell quickly ( he had $10,000 on it ) so I kind of softened him up a bit with a few jokes etc over a month or so... " buy my truck, buy my truck.." he kept saying every time I went in there... he also had a brand new F-250 sitting in his yard so I knew he didn't want the GM sitting there collecting dust.. but he was standing tough... told me he'd burn it before he took less than $8500 !

When I was ready ( had to sell the dodge first ) , I went in with the deniro in my pocket and started beating him up... this guy is a 25 year police sergeant and a pretty tough customer... I flat out offered him 7K cash.. and showed him the stack... he told me to get out lol. I told him fair enough and walked to the car... " wait..." he says... " come back here "... we ended up agreeing on $7500.... BUT there's more... i get 10 seconds away from the house and the manifold packs in... ticking like hell... I whip her around and go back... demand my money back... in the end.. we agree to have a complete manifold kit installed at his expense ! ( about a $600 job if everything goes well )... so in all actuality ... $6900 ain't bad in my books!

I was talking to a friend of mine today who knows this cat that I bought the truck from... he asked... heard you sold your truck.... his reply was

" He raped me "

sorry for the long wind... had to tell the yarn !
