Hey Ben
It is definitely the wires being reversed. Flip thr plug over on the ballast and if it lights up you got thr issue identified. If that doesnt work then be sure that the plugs inside the headlights are fully seated. A bad connection will result in no light either.
Email me at [email protected] if you have any other trouble or need a phone call to help.

The flipped wires was the problem for one side. Still struggling with the other. Got some batteries for my voltmeter ( I blame the kids for leaving it on).

Had to put the old bulbs back in both sides for now. Hoping to get back to it this weekend.

Ordered the bulb kit from fastheadlights.com on Monday, hope they come by the weekend so I can put them in.  FastWS6TA  and anyone else who has installed this kit, from what I understand the Hylux ballast are plug and play and I shouldnt need anything additional other than whats in the kit?  Just want to make sure I have everything I need before I start the install.

Will post pics when completed.  I cant wait this factory setup is horrible.

Where did everyone mount their ballasts? Was thinking about that on my drive in to work this morning.

You’ll find plenty of room to zip tie them up and hide them.

Im looking at this kit for a 14 highcountry just wondering if it’s really as easy as the video states and you don’t have to break open your headlights

Yes. I ordered them from Phil there and they go in super easy. I absolutely love the output paired with my rigid SAE fogs. My wife is so jealous about the bixenon feature. Blows her TSX out of the water!

That’s awesome to hear, does the kit come with everything you need for wiring in the hids and such? Or do I have to order anything else off the website?

Hey fellas and ladies,

I read through a lot of the posts but haven't really found what i was looking for. One of the first things I did when I bought my truck a few years ago was pick up some crappy LEDs. I threw them in, making a beginner's mistake and then replaced them with a better set.  The LEDs eventually got on my nerves as it still wasn't the greatest output and I purchased a Morimoto 35w HID kit.

Here's where I'm confused.  I have a 2015 SLE.  For some I thought I had DRL, and that my headlights just came on.  After the install, there isn't a DRL. Have I really been driving around thinking that I have had DRL for the last two years?

Also, I’m having some issues with one light cutting out and the other still running. Or both cut out and then come on. It WAS the driver’s side cutting out. But today it’s been the passenger side. Any idea what could possibly be causing this?

Are you saying that your headlights are not on except when you turn on the headlight switch or set to "auto" and they come on when the sensor senses it is dark enough?

I have the Morimoto kit on my SLE and have still have DRL's.

It's the weirdest thing because now they work all of the time.  I'm not wondering if there was a loose connection.  I went through and unplugged everything and plugged it back in.

This is 4300k from Morimoto. I used the brackets from Phil for the oem LTZ projector housings. Perfect rotation and alignment. I like the color, nice and warm but doesn't match the SL1 fog light bulbs. May switch to 5000K in spring.
