I ordered a pair of 5100's this afternoon. Can't wait until they get here!

Now time to do some tire shopping!

Truck looks great... This is the look i am gonna go for.. But I'm thinking really hard about doing the bilstein's 5100 instead.. But hope to get the same look with the same tires.. With your setup do you think the Weathertech no drill mud flaps will still be able to be used when turning front tires?

Again nice looking truck!!

Thanks! I haven't seen what they look like inside the wheel well, but I can only imagine it would make things very close when its already a close call as is.

Just got my lift done two days ago and wheels and tires done yesterday. 2016 All Terrain. Readylift 2.25" with Method NV 17x8.5 0 offset wrapped in 285/70/17 Duratracs. No rub. Rear mud flaps, Go Rhino RB10s, and GM/Borla exhaust are ordered. Quick cell phone pics...

So is the Suspensionmaxx kit the only leveling option currently MADE for the Denali's with magnetic ride? I know some mentioning Motofab, etc but these are kits where the shop moves around the sensor's themselves.

Do you think the 285s or 295s on stock rims would fit width wise without rubbing on a RC 2.5 level?

I would think so. Initially, I had just a 2" level with 305s and the slightest rub at full lock in reverse. Of course it depends on how tall you go as well.

I'm going with Bilstein 5100's here in the next week or so. I want to put them on their highest setting for the most amount of lift in the front. How will my ride quality compare to stock if they are at the max setting?

From what I have read ride quality will be nice but just a bit stiffer. I'm putting on the RC 2 inch this weekend and if I do not like the look of it (nose high) I will be getting the 5100's.

So...what's the verdict then on leveling kits with magnetic suspension on my 2016 Denali? Do I need a specific kit? I know I want a 2" level, but no clue what route to go on manufacturer. Help!

I just put the Bilstein 5100s set at the highest level on my truck. Its still a bit taller in the rear but a much better stance than stock. Soon to have 285/70r17 bfg a/t ko2s pending funds.

I have a 2.5in leveling kit here that I was going to install, but I decided to not get bigger tires.

I think the 2.5" on stock tires will look stupid, so I think a 2" level is the way to go for me on stock tire size...

My buddy just had a level kit installed that was the top strut version. His guy said it had better ride quality than the lower strut block I'm doing.

Is that true? Am I sacrificing for a super rough ride?

    • Even tougher is the 5.0 / 302. That's what this one has.    https://postimg.cc/Z9XRrCSg   https://postimg.cc/4n3F3yzY   Just realized I had the airbox removed in the engine pic, lol.
    • Yep! This should be a pin somewhere as @pgamboa really dives into all of this. Thanks for reposting the link!
    • I did the new thermostat after doing a 'flip' for a year. Runs as cool one way as the other in the summer but in the winter there is a bit of a floor. Yellow with the new 70 C thermostat. My data over the life of the unit to date. Still need more cooler. Anyway that floor helped both winter fuel economy and shift quality in the winter. I found it a good balance.
    • Evan Williams Bottled in Bond   So pouring the last of a bottle of Evan Williams Black label last night I set off the the state store for a refill only to be denied the by an empty shelf. Rats.    What the did have was a bottle of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. 100 proof. Hum, a few bucks more but a known distiller. Lets have a swing at it. ( I have before )    Cracked it open and pour a serving over ice. Hum.... more heat, yes. More alcohol naturally. But the barreling not the proof brings the taste and this one came up short.    Oh is was familiar but the heat ran the barrel over like a Peterbilt runs over a squirrel. Could use a heavier toasting of the oak me thinks or perhaps a longer barreling. Who knows. But what I can say is ice or a water back isn't the answer. What kills one kills them both. Sad. It is a pleasant drink....if you have little to compare it to.
    • I've had exactly one set of Bridgestone. Lasted five year and 125,000 miles and had I known better 15oK would have been a cake walk. I would have bought a like set had they not tripled in price since the first set. I removed them at said mileage with 5/32" remaining in dead even wear all four. They were fuel efficient, quite, comfortable and predictable.    Early on I got a very good alignment checked at least once a year, sometimes twice; kept the tires properly inflated, balanced and rotated. And I've found that many a tire issue can be avoided with great maintenance practices. Lot's of tire dealers will do rotation and balance (simple) for free for as long as you own the tire they sold you so no excuse not to.    Bead prep, alloy integrity and stem health have a huge impact on inflation stability. There are more mountings done poorly that perfectly. Finding a good tire guy is gold and as important as finding a tire you like.    That 3X price increase now two sets of "other tires' later is starting look like a bargain.      Bad maintenance kills more tires than bad tires.
