Mine is a 2014 LT 4WD. Measurements are 38 5/16" rear, and 36" front. The 2.5" level will apparently set me nose high. Will it settle enough to be level or should I just get new rear blocks if I get the 2.5" front?

I just ordered a set of 2" spacers from Summit Performance on ebay. Really good price so we'll see how they work. If it's not enough I'll order the 1/2" top spacer.

I recently purchased a 2016 Sierra Denali. I want to level the front but the more I read I am less confident on what all I really need to do. I went to a local truck place today that sells truck parts and does installs and spoke to the guy there. He quoted me about 240$ to install a new set of torsion keys to gain the 2" i am looking at to level the front. My main question I guess is, is going the torsion key route any better or worse than say just adding the blocks under the suspension or any other way? Also, my Denali does use the magneride suspension so does anything need recalibrated afterwards or just an alignment and I'm good? I am just mainly concerned with dramatically affecting something that is going to have bad long term consequences. Especially with the magneride suspension, I just want to make sure that any sensors that need to be moved or recalibrated get taken care of correctly. Thanks for the insight.

Is your Denali a 1500? Because the torsion bar keys would only work on a 2500. The 1500s have used spacers since 2007.

I am getting the 2.5" suspensionmaxx installed on Friday, I know it has been covered a few times but I have held off on getting tires since I want to know the best (biggest) tire size to run without major trimming. Based off a few of the set ups on here I am planning to run 275/65r20 on the factory wheels (+27 offset) yet does anyone have any more insight on this? Would I be better off going a different route?

 

 

After receiving and reviewing the kit, I did not install the suspensionmaxx on my truck. The shims are flimsy cheap plastic, felt as if they would give just tightening the strut down. The kit has been sent back and I got a 2" Readylift kit in the truck now.

Torsion Keys will not work for your truck, you will need a lower front strut mount extension (some kits use upper as well). Some of the kits account for magneride and provide sensor relocation brackets, others you will need to have the system recalibrated. check out this thread for a better idea

    • The engine was done as part of the 6.2 recall?   You'd have to see if your VIN also has the 6.2 engine special coverage on it.  Coverage number is N252494003.  If you have this, your engine is covered under this and NOT the GM replacement part engine warranty which is 3yr/100k from the date of install.  The 3yr/100k mi warranty is in effect for non warranty purchases.     This is not any different if it was replaced under warranty without a recall or special coverage.  So if you had a 5.3 and it popped at 3 years in at 50,000mi during the 5yr/60k powertrain, the replacement engine would not get the 3yr/100k, and instead gets the remainder of the 5yr/60k as coverage.     So N252494003 gives 10 years or 150,000mi of coverage, which ever comes first, starting at the vehicle in service date.  So if your in service date is 01/01/2022, N252494003 gives you special coverage of the engine until 01/01/2032 or 150,000mi, whichever comes first.  So if your start date was 01/01/2022, you'd have left 5 years and 4 months (lets round to august 1st), or 62,000mi left of coverage.   So you need to know your in service date to know how much coverage is left.  
    • Okiee dokie there bud, way to take things to the extreme.   I guess you missed the whole point and take things way to serious. I installed different EV6 style injectors that just so happen to be larger in my car running the same LQ4 engine and with a better spray pattern than the stock style injectors and I noticed no difference in the idle quality. Kinda was my round about way of saying that even if you put the same size but better style injectors in your truck, you will likely see the same thing.    I'm sure you're great to have conversations with in person if that's how you act through a keyboard. One little things sets you off and now I guess my dick is all up in your face.
    • I can't believe that could possibly be the case. It should be 36mo/100k miles from installation. Then again, it also seems like since a dealership installed it, it'd all be in the system and you wouldn't need to worry about registering, either. Shows you what I know. 😄 Hope this one outlives the warranty!
    • I haven't seen inventory recovery from COVID.    In the few random times I 'build my own' truck or SUV, no one has the exact one I want.   GM has been working to lower incentives too for a long time.    A $500 incentive isn't getting me off the couch to go truck shopping.
