I am so excited to be starting this thread. Why....? Because this means I finally have my new truck. It has been such a long process but I am glad I got just what I wanted. I ordered a 2014 Sierra Crew Cab All Terrain in Iridium Metallic. I ordered this truck with the 5.3L because of how quiet they are. This truck is mostly loaded. I opted for no sunroof and no driver alert package. I think it has every other option. I have several mods that'll be installed so I'll use this thread to share the progress and answer an questions.

First mod I did was put in WeatherTech floor mats. I bought a set for my truck and the wifes. I like the product. It does the job of protecting but I am unhappy with how they lay flat. They have been in the box and in my garage for weeks. Maybe after a few weeks of being in the truck they will lay flatter. Here are some shots of them installed.

The next thing to install is the under seat storage unit made by Du-Ha. I elected this product because it was well reviewed but it also included dividers to store a firearm or two. It was easy to install. I may have it a little over tightened as t looks like the front is high. That also may be because the unit is empty at the moment.

*** All Terrain Update ***

This is interesting. If you look at my truck you'll not that it has painted bumpers. This is standard on All Terrains. When I ordered this package it subtracted the Bumper Steps. It was only Denali that could have the painted bumpers with the bumpers steps. Unbenounced to me and my dealer the truck showed up with what I refer to as the Denali bumper. All the other AT's in the lot do not have the step. I was pleasantly surprised about this change to AT package. I have had several Denalis packages and I like them (especially now that they allow 4x4 not AWD) but I really wanted the z71 suspension. Well that was the only thing missing for me.

Nice looking truck, love the color, way more interesting than the summit white of mine. Interested to hear what you think of the floor mats in a couple weeks and if they conform better, mine has the slightly upgraded rubber chevy floormates in it but would like more protection and the weathertech's are top on my list.

My truck is due to arrive in the next week or two. I wish these painted bumpers with the step would have been available when I ordered. I might have been willing to change my color choice from Blue if the painted bumpers would have been available for a different color. All Terrain is not available in Blue for some strange reason.

mine never conformed in my 2012 Suburban. I went with Huskys this time which conformed right out of the box

That's interesting. I am building this truck out to support my killing of birds addiction (and fish ). I originally wanted the brown or sand color. My thoughts were that it would hide the dirt a little better than other and it wouldn't stand out in the woods as much as all of my black trucks. Turns out you can't get that in the AT either. Although I think that may have change recently. I saw a truck for sale online in Texas that was the sand color in AT. I am very surprised about how much changed in truck builds from inception during the model year itself. Ultimately I am happy with this color.

Next mod - take off that tailgate emblem!

I also have the weather tech mats, sent back the rear ones though. I don't like how they basically have no edge on them, just seems like any water will run right off the edges on to the carpet anyways. I might just get the OEM all weather mats for the back.

Looking good roadblock. I see you must have received your truck before mine was made. You have the painted bumpers with no steps. That no longer is even an option. Funny how everyone likes different things. My son loves the z71 so we just put those badges on it as it doesn't come on the AT package.

Worlds smallest mod... I just installed a hitch safe. They are little units that sit inside your receiver. They have several cushions to choose from to get a tight fit with no shake. I am in the back country a lot and its nice to have a spare key in case of emergency. I also like the roller code system as is easy to g I've the numbers to a friend or hunting partner. The code is super simple to change too.

Ya would have been nice to have those steps, but oh well, truck is unique now and I have to lift my foot a little higher, no big deal.

I'll have to get me that underseat storage though! Have you thought maybe the front is too high because the weathertechs add some thickness underneathe?
