Been toying with the idea of going back to chrome / polished wheels so I photoshopped some forces on the truck. What do you guys think of this look?

This is about the biggest thing I've towed to date, with any truck. Supposedly weighed 7200 pounds, towed it pretty damn good. Acceleration was that of my regular trailer which I was surprised. Only towed it about 20 miles total to help out a friend who broke down. Sucked not having tow mirrors though

I finally got around to wrapping my door inserts last night in order to get rid of the wood grain. I think they came out pretty good for my first time using vinyl haha

Note: The vinyl is charcoal/black CF, but for some reason it looks blueish/ silverish when photographed :dunno:

A nice day to put on a coat of Z8. It's the only product I ever use on all 3 vehicles.

15 minutes if you take a coffee break in the middle.

Z8 is a Premium spray-on paint sealant. Much more paint protection than a typical detail spray, but not quite as much as a synthetic sealant that is applied with an applicator and then buffed off.

Z8 is made by Zaino. I've been using it for over 15 years. It will make your paint shiny and slick. Spray on, wipe off, done.

Detailing "Purists" (I should know, I used to be one) will tell you that you need to clay bar, polish, apply 2 coats of synthetic sealant, then apply Z8 for shine maintenance.

I simply eliminated the first 3 steps. Mine looks as good as theirs and I saved 3 hours in the process.

LED running board lights I found on ebay. They work awesome.

Where/how did you get the wires from the lights into the cab?

Todd - when I did my recon Big rig running lights the power was to the front of the truck, ran under to lower part of fire wall, then up to fuse block. all wires were warp . hope this helps you .

I don't know, being in Wisconsin I have heard several times they have had issues with them and heavy snow and ice reliability. Not so much not working but burning out motors from having to lift and lower snow and ice build up (though some have said they have gotten stuck). Do some research, heard good things about them down south but up north I would be leery. That is my two cents. (notice the two above who said yes are in Texas).
