Used a heat gun when doing it. What do you mean by post heating?

Essentially what I did - Cut approximate size, removed backing, applied with 'thumb' pressure, heat with gun and pushed out all wrinkles, cut the edges, used vinyl tool to push down edges. Did the cutting and pushing all with the heatgun.

Tough to say if I used enough heat, maybe it just needed more or if I used too much. Certainly with a few more tries I would get it and I have plenty of vinyl but it was starting to get a bit windy.

Tough for me to say too but let's assume you did heat it enough. Post heat just means you heat it enough for it to forget it's memory or original shape so any stretching stays permanently and won't lift. But anyways you could also use edge seal. If the emblem is textured or what not like my GMC logo is the vinyl typically doesn't stick too well. Might have to consider plasti dip or actually paint it.

How are they was thinking about trying? Are you happy with them or would you go with them again if you were to do it over again.

I Used the 3m 1080 in gloss black on the front gmc emblem and plasti dip on the back emblem about 2 years ago to see how each held up. Obviously the front is going to go through the ringer compared to the back. The vinyl has held up great, no loose edges or bubbles. I have got a couple chips in it now from rocks or pressure wash I'd imagine. The back is fine still, I'd hope so lol only time it gets any action is hauling stuff with the tailgate down.

Very cool, the 1080 series is a great product line. 2 years and counting is great!

I was surprised by the lack of wind noise at speed (70-75) I would purchase again. These are what comes from the dealer on these trucks. I was given a gift certificate so these didn't cost me. But I seem to find them for around $50 so I think it is worth it for sure.

Was able to find Black Factory Running Boards locally for $120! Self installed. Had to run by the dealer for some nutserts. They gave me a handful for free.

I got my factory rims replaced under warranty. The old ones were peeling and bubbling and the dealer ordered new ones in Sept and they are finally here and all installed. They obviously look no different than the old ones but I was happy they replaced them.

Installed new Morimoto HID bulbs to replace the ones on the AT. Light output had gone down noticeably over the past month or so. PGamboa you sir got a heck of a deal on the running boards.

Is anyone else getting the same notification for this topic, even though someone else had posted? If so, how do I get rid of it?

This is what keeps coming over, and over again...

So what I did was to remove the backseat entirely I did this so that I could install some be quiet brown bread against the rear wall and the floor in the process of doing so however I also cut the metal tabs that hold the back seat to the rear wall in half this now allows the seats to both fold up and the upper part 2 full down how upload a video here in a bit and fortunately it takes a while to upload

Here is a quick picture of the rear clips that I cut in half https://goo.gl/photos/uFFMUdJg2iomqTEx9

Dropped it off at the body shop to have all the chrome on the front color matched and to have a couple small issues fixed. Hopefully will have it back Thursday.

I have been scouring craigslist for a set of the black OEM for crew cab. Nice find at that price! I have found a few sets of the chrome ones for ~$200. Thought about getting those and powder coating them. Looks good.

Didn't have one at the time but here you go. If you zoom in you can see it. It's barely noticeable at all... I love it!
