I've never done the front/rear differential, transfer case, or transmission. Is it fairly easy process on these vehicles? I'd like to do my own, as the dealer pricing is a small fortune.

Very simple! Just want to make sure you can remove the fill plug before you drain it

Goes with anything like that though, always make sure you can replace the fluids before you drain, no matter what your servicing !

Yes, I always make sure I can remove the fill plug. Just because it is new doesn't mean it will be easy to remove. The process is easy, just get a pump for your qt bottles so you can pump the fluid into the diffs and T case. You can pick up a pump at Advance Auto, O'Riley's, Auto Zone or others.

Changed out the front diff fluid. It was a nice grey milky fluid and I only got 1qt and 8oz out. Put 1qt and 24oz back in before it started to run out the fill hole. So it seems it was under serviced.

I also serviced the T case. It took just about 2 full qts before it started running out as well. It is so easy to do. Might just do it once a year.

I didn't get to the rear. I didn't do my home work to find out it has a reusable gasket. So I'll get it some time this week while the weather is warm.

I did put it on my lift and I think it is a wee bit to heavy. I did manage to get the wheels off the ground but the lift didn't want to move very fast so I didn't push it. Just enough clearance to get under it while it sat level to service everything.

I use my Flo-N-Go on my Diff's.

I use this thing to suck the fluid out of everything anymore. Lawn Tractors / Mowers ..

But it works great in the Diff's and transfer cases as well. Take everything out through the fill plugs.

Just have to work the hose in and down that's the only trick.

It connects to the shop Vacuum.

There are other product like it but this thing is cheap.

Any tutorial videos out there for these trucks on changing fluids? I wouldn't mind watching the process to familiarize myself better..

i looked at that one too. went with the westin contour because it doesnt make the front of the truck look to bulky like some bars and i got a smoking deal on it. the light bar is a totron 30in curved. super bright and good quality, was only $150 when i got it but i think the price has gone up

I second that , or maybe third it! I had never thought of a bull bar on my truck , but maybe! Looks like a state trooper push bar almost, nice.

That's great! Last year I tried to get NoBallz for my Ninja 300 but the DMV in Alabama denied it during thier final review.

Looking good! I didn't realize the HD hoot fit on 1500's. Any special work to make it fit? Also how's the interior looking? I know some guys install a center console and bucket seats.
