I just swapped out the Boost Auto marker lights in the tow mirrors. I replaced the “dot” style lights with their “strip” style lights. It’s a small detail but they add up.

$1600 to get your truck waxed and its the best money you've ever spent.

Cant wrap my head around that one

Either you are joking or you don't understand.

I can only explain it thusly. In my area, paint correction alone on something as big as a GM truck would run you about 600-700. Add the ceramic coating process and that figure seems reasonable to me.

and no I don’t need it explained to me. I’m well aware what ceramic coating is. I can just think of a million other things that $1600 would be better spent on that’s all. Not my money though and I’ll admit the truck is clean.

Are you serious?

Ceramic Coating is not wax. Not even close.

$1600 is about the average price to get it done. Plenty of guys on here have had this done and even payed more and swear by it.

I like my trucks to look nice . I don't care how fast it is or how it sounds or what tune it has.

You seem to be an expert on everything but know nothing about ceramic coating.

I paid $1200 to have my truck corrected and ceramic coated.  He took a few hundred off because I literally drove from the dealer to his shop to get it done.  Less time for contamination to build up. Its worth the cost if you plan to enjoy your investment for a long time.  If you lease vehicles or change them every couple years, then probably not worth it at all.

Wow . Mine wasn't that bad but it definitely was not perfect. My guy had a total of 18 hours in the paint correction. It looks flawless. Here is what mine looked like before and after the paint correction.

Flog away...I installed the Pedal Commander. Works great and yes I know all the reasons why it’s a waste of money but I’ve pissed away a lot more on a meal.

Well....I loved it until I did a few high speed runs. I will say that it worked beautifully in town and even while towing. I did a 65-90 acceleration pass and had shudder issues, I could duplicate this problem every time I did it. Thought I had the transmission shudder problem starting on my truck and even started a thread asking for inputs/advise/opinions. See this thread if interested. Returning the Pedal Commander to Amazon vs selling it on here to another user. It might be faulty and I don't want anyone else having this problem. Maybe I just got a bad one but I will just go back to the "old" days of a linear throttle. I sure hope I didn't cause anyone to rush out and buy one and if you did, I hope it works for you!

I can attest to the amount of work involved to compound, polish, and decon the paint to do a coating.  I did the work myself and it took me about 10 hours work, and it wasn't my first rodeo with this type of work.  The clearcoat on these trucks is pretty hard (which is good to prevent future swirls) and it took a lot of work with my DA polisher to correct the paint.  I am a cheap bastard so I wouldn't want to pay someone to do it for me, but $1200 - $1600 does not seem out of line.

I used the new blackfire ceramic coating and am pleased with the results.  The consumer grade coatings (like what I used) don't have the longevity of the "pro" coatings but still offer at least 12 months of real protection on a properly prepped surface and make the truck super easy to wash.

Not sure where y'all are located, but they charge $550 to $700 for the same work. Can't see paying $1600.

I deal with two extremely high end professional detailer’s in my line of work. It is very hard to explain to someone the benefits of ceramic coating that have never seen it or felt it especially if it’s done by a professional there is no substitution for it. You can tell me that you’ve waxed and polished all day long all and it still will not even come close to comparing to ceramic coating after proper clear coat preparation.  They vary in price is from about 1100 to 1600 depending on if it is a brand new paint job we have just done or if it’s a customer car that we have worked on and they want their paint brought back to life.  It is extremely easy to keep the vehicle clean, dirt and water just slide right off it, it enhances the shine and depth 70 to 80% and makes washing it even easier. The truck looks fantastic my friend!!

I’m in California my self but if they are charging $500 the are not doing the same work as I’m talking about.  I’ve spent some time watching the process which usually takes between two and three days sometimes a little longer depending on how flat they’re cutting the topcoat.  And I don’t know anybody that’s doing that type of work the proper way and working that many hours for $500 bucks not to mention the material cost coming out of that would mean that they were making about $350

Florida Panhandle...cost is $1500-$2200 depending on your paint’s condition. We deal with brutal sun, torrential rains and tons of bugs (yeah and they call it paradise lol) so his cost of $1600 is pretty reasonable IMHO!

Thanks to the guys that agree $1600 is a fair price for a top notch job.

I like the way it looks and it was worth it to me. If you think I payed too much, it's my money why do you care?
