Transmissions Issues/Problems

That never go put onto my VIN, but the transfer case going into neutral was so I got that done. It was like I reved it up and dumped into gear at random times. Happened about 5 times before I got it fixed. I was thinking maybe this was my issues. At this point I'm not sure as I just got it done. I'm about to do two 500 miles trips over the next couple weeks.

I also got my odometer flash up fixed. They said it only changed the odometer that flashes up when you open the door to check it. He then said I would lose MPG, but I thought it would fix the fact that the DIC reads .5 over what I calculate. However it still shows .5 over actual and so far it looks like I've lost about 1 MPG city. Odd thing is it reads about the same on the instant when driving, but it takes longer to recover from going down at stop lights or from drive throughs.

Wow..... You are the first person that I have heard of that this actually happened to. My truck went into neutral while I was pulling out of Subway, but it never rolled away when I had it in park.

yep, worst part was my little girl opened the back door to jump out and when i shut my door she started rolling out into the road. Called the dealer today, he told me to bring it in asap so they can document and notify GM.

I noticed this hard shift both accelerating and mostly decelerating at 75 miles. Brought it to the dealer and they said no codes= no problems. Now at 1900 miles the tranny or something seems confused. I step on the gas and it doesn't know what gear to engage. I get a hard clunk and it goes into gear somewhere. The deceleration bumps are very annoying. And the confusion seems it is a safety issue...

Is GM going to fix this? Or should I address it in the after market? If AM is the answer, where do I begin? I've seen some remarks about getting it tuned, I don't know what that means. What does that do? My 05 Avalanche didn't do this at all and I spent alot of money on this truck.

Any suggestions ???

2wd 1500, 5.3L, 3.42 stock.

Thanks.

Go to this post. There is a PI that relates to the issues you are having.

I actually printed that and brought it to the dealer, it , so they told me applies to Mexican made transmissions, not mine made in Toledo. No codes= no problems.

Thanks for your suggestion.
