Lost a good friend last night :(

Sorry man. It's never easy to lose a family member. I unfortunately deal with this on a daily basis. I would like to say you get immune to it, but it tears me up every time.

Sorry for your loss. They definitely become a part of the family. We had to put our 13 year old lab down 1 1/2 years ago and I still think of her often.

I miss her wagging tail, her jumpy personality. Even up to the "point" she was still wagging her tail and happy. So sad, man! I don't think I can bring myself to get another. It was just way too damn difficult. I cried like a big ol baby. Even with this big huge tumor hanging off her side she still acted like nothing was wrong. I always said she was gonna be the dog that was happy go lucky till the end of her days. At least she never had to suffer, at least she hid it well if she was suffering.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Our GS escaped from the kennel the first Christmas after we got him and was out in the woods/country for 36hrs. That tore me up enough, I can't even imagine how bad I'll be when we lose him or his younger brother. Plenty of good memories to keep in your head to heal.

My sympathy is with you and I know how you feel. Our "twin" Shelties have been gone for over 3 years now and I still think of them often.

Had to put my "Best Bud" Max down on my wife's birthday 2010. We have since gotten another dog that we love dearly but I still think about, and miss him every day. The pain does lesson but never goes away.

Ahh too bad man, they really are a good friend. I had to put down one of my labs last November, hardest thing I've dealt with in awhile. Sorry for the loss brother
