Post your 2014+ wheel/tire set-up

Recommended Posts

Finally made a decision on a new set of tires. I compared every A/T on the market in the 265/70R18 in Standard Load. A lot of thought went into this purchase. I wanted to stay with SL due to ride quality and weight. I don't need a LT 10 ply tire on my truck.

In the end the new Falken Wildpeak AT3W won out over the Nitto G2, Toyo A/T2, Grabber A/T2, and the BFG Rugged Terrain. I created a spreadsheet that compared weight, tread depth, warranty, overall size, severe weather rating, etc.

Chose the AT3W b/c it has 14/32" tread depth, severe weather rated, nice side wall lugs, nice tread gaps, 55k warranty, weight is only 8lbs more than stock, and price.

Got these at a local shop for $750 installed including mount and balance with road hazard warranty and tax.504184ff5900fe1338710a57a91cb3d9.jpg4a3ba033f7307f6f271f9eac4894fe76.jpg5dde1159aaad2686fc151874c53d5696.jpg

Too soon to tell just yet. I sit in stop and go on the way to work. But I have a trip this week that will be a good indication of fuel consumption.

So I just added a 2.5 Rough country level w/ blocks on some 285/75/18 Toyo ATs on my stock wheels.

I noticed some rubbing that is from one of the lower shock bolts. Anyone else encounter this problem?

I've read that some people just put the bolts the other way so they have the head of the bolt where the nut it.

Agreed. This is exactly what I did on my RC level before I swapped it out for the Bilsteins. Just flip the bolts over. Plenty of room.

Yeah the motofab level has you put the bolt on top nut on bottom. Not sure why you would ever do it the other way.

I had this wheel and tire set up for a short while didn't like the way it looked so I sold that set. Was Nitto Trail Grabber 295/60/20 wrapped around a set of KMC XD 20x10 Monster 2...

I'm now running stock all terrain 20s wrapped around a set of 285/65/20 BFG KO2 and I absolutely wouldn't change a thing. The left is a a 4.5 inch suspension lift made by zone
