As early as this summer you will be able to walk into a Cadillac dealership with a about eighty grand or a very neatly filled out loan application and go home with the most powerful Cadillac ever built. Park it next to your Yukon and let the vehicles kibitz about how their owner must have a thing for 6.2-liter V8 engines.

Cadillac dealers are now accepting orders for the 2016 CTS-V and expects to fill those this summer. The CTS-V is all new this year and joins the V6 turbocharged CTS-V Sport and ATS-V sedan and coupe in its much larger line up of V cars.

Hmmmm, can't wait to see these go head to head with the Hellcat charger.

Now thats a motortrend ignition video I'd like to see.

They've really been loving the hellcat over there.

Aren't they a bit cheaper than the CTS-V though? iirc you can get them for as low as mid 60s.

Or refinement, or a platform that's less than a decade old.

Hellcat tops out around 71, and I'd bet the 80k V and 71k Hellcat will be fairly comparable on feature list. I'm sure GMPP could work some magic and get really close in straight line performance since it will probably weigh a few hundred less, the hellcat is over 2 tons, and the heaviest CTS is 3900.

And after the first year that CTS V will drop an easy 10k for a nice low mileage used one.

That's what I love about special but not rare performance cars, too many people rush out to buy them, rarely drive them, then realize they can't afford it a year later, and you have a bunch of mint barely used cool cars someone else took the hit on.
