What do you guys think that have the 2016 1500 silvers dos? Are the headlights a lot better in them? Any other new features that are nice? Any problems? Which year are people most happy with? Thanks!

I've had mine for a couple of weeks. The headlights are awesome! The auto bright lights are pretty cool. The apple car play is nice. No complaints here.

I still have mixed opinions on the looks of the front end and design hood. Maybe I need more time.

I like then with color matched front end, but in dark colors, don't think the whites/silvers look very good, but the dark red/grey/blacks look Sweet

Also want to add not a fan if divers in hood

Headlights are a marked improvement, carplay is great, I'm a fan of the new LED look and less chrome in the Z71 models. Happy to have switched.

My only problem might not be the truck, my ipod won't play, but my iphone will... might be something with my ipod... have to dig into it further (either worked fine on my 15)

How old is the iPod and what version is the software? It usually needs to be fully up to date. Also check the manual to make sure it is supported.

I have a 10+ year old ipod and it works with a aux cord which has a plug on the end similar to a head phone's plug. The outlet is inside the armrest compartment, I have a 2016 grey Z71 and love the look! I had it for a week and still trying to figure it out.

It's the newer style ipod nano on current firmware and it worked in my 2015 with IO5, my 2016 has IO5 as well, just with carplay now. I may have added too many playlists last time I updated it, not sure... it has 2000+ songs on it where my iphone only has room for 300 songs or so, so it may be an indexing thing... not sure yet. I'll probably thin it down to see if it works and then I'll know. Only time I ever use my computer at home is to do the damn ipod, so it might be a while.

Love my 2016. Headlights are just awesome. Apple CarPlay is great but since Apple doesn't seem to support wireless charging, I don't need that option. Love the painted front end. I also installed the Amp research steps and the BAK revolver x2.

I love my truck. The headlights are by far the best headlights I've seen in an American vehicle.

Would appreciate hearing what you think of the differences between your old gmt 900 & the new K2xx. I know it is a new truck & most are extremely happy with new. Just curious what you (or others) notice?

 

I have a 2013 SLE with a 6.2, but really like both the new Silverado & Sierras.

Common sense says to keep the 2013 as the sheet metal difference & improved the interior are not worth the money difference. Yet am still looking most every weekend.

First thing that grabbed me was the grill and how they incorporated the color of the truck into it. That's new for the 2016 Z 71 Package. Chevy also redesigned the grill to give it a more aggressive look and added new headlights which I love. Finally, my GMC still had value so I was either going to keep it and run it into the ground or trade it in for a new one. If it wasn't for the new redesign and all the cash incentives, I would have kept my GMC. My monthly payments stayed the same so that sweetened the deal!

Is the color matched grill on the Z71 only? Tried building an LT on chevy.com but didn't see the option.
