Timeshift radio in 2016

The sd card pushes in and fits in flush for me. I have stuff in my arm rest and it can slide around and hit the stick that sticks out and takes up room in there. I didn't like my Ipod and cord in there floating around pluged in. As for phone play. I don't use my phone for music and such. Pandora and I hart blow and cost data. Not sure what else phone radio does without costing data other then maybe play clash of clans at red light on my dash? My truck already calls, answers calls and reads me my texts. I used my USB for years in my 13 and now that I figured the SD out in the 15 I don't want to go back. Its just sleek. Almost like its not even there.

$29 for 128gb, and no USB sticking out.

Yes but still substantially slower than an SD card. I started using my iPhone instead of the USB (if it wasn't on the SD card) because it takes so long for it to read the USB contents. The truck only supports USB 2.0. If it were 3.0, the speed would be similar.

My guess is that they got rid of it in 2016 because it caused many problems in 2015 vehicles, including mine. Dealer said it could not be fixed. GM offered me a year worth of SAT radio as compensation, which I declined. BS that you pay a lot for this feature (included in upper end $ packages) and it doesn't work.

 

Very cool feature when it works.

A little trick is to hit the pause button before you shut the truck off and when you come out of your favorite convience store start the truck up hit pause and carry on right where you left off. Works great.

Yeah that's great. I never thought I would use it, but I do a lot. And my kids love it.
