I've been trying to respond to everyone individually. I really did enjoy the time on this forum. If I missed your reply, nothing personal, I just missed it!

I like to keep up with the GM truck world, so I will likely stick around and keep up to snuff.

So what are the big complaints on the Hyundai forums?

One guy bricked his infotainment because he tried to update to Apple Car Play, but used the wrong format USB drive.

second that , a great contributor and will be missed. Again good luck , life is never permanent . Just wish you would have stayed home.....

I did remove the air dam, but I reinstalled it before I traded the truck in.

I drove a Canyon. Didn't like it. The seat sits a lot closer to the floor boards, so my legs were jutting up into my chest. I was not comfortable at all driving one of those. I am much more comfortable driving the Santa Fe, not to mention the bells and whistles in the Hyundai are a lot nicer. I hope to accomplish 20-22 mpg in my mixed driving in the Hyundai, I think the Canyon/Colorado is similarly spec'd

Nice. I traded my wife's Forester in for a 2016 Tucson Limited. 17,000 miles and its already had the transmission replaced and now the emergency brake doesn't set anymore. Should have gotten the Santa Fe. The clutches got destroyed somehow. The DCT transmission, while quick and responsive, is jittery and jerky. Oh well, have the warranty, hopefully don't have to use it too much more. The Tucson section of the Hyundai Forums is a little more active.

Wifey drives a 2015 Sonata (we had a 2009). Great cars. Plan is to turn in lease and buy a Santa Fe or Acadia but Imma keepin' the truck

Lady friend has a new Sante Fe.....loaded up with all the bells and whistles.

It's a lot of fun to drive.....rides great has plenty of power.

Longest highway trip we took it got 27mpg.

So far fit and finish,quality of parts seems excellent.

Warranty outstanding too

If it continues like this I sorta wish they would make a halfton

I have been a GM guy all my life, until I went to get a new one, extended cab, and found that all the vin. numbers started with a 3, which of course is Mexico. Call me old fashioned, but I will not buy a car or truck, that isn't made in America, along with the majority of the parts, perhaps next time GM needs a bailout, it can ask the Mexican Government, good luck with that.

Although I get your point, especially with the highlighted part of your post, you'd have to go with Ford or Toyota if you want a truck "Made in America".
