OtterBox defender case on a iPhone X, case won’t let it sit flat on the pad, there’s air gap, and still charges! Awesome charger for sure. No guarantees!!! But great adaptor for the newer wireless charger module in my 2016

Just a quick question since I can't find the answer elsewhere and don't particularly feel inclined to rip apart my console (just to put it back together and rip it apart again to actually upgrade): the harness that connects to the lid, is it connected in a way that you can remove the lid without disconnecting it from the charger side (does it have a disconnect in the lower part of the console or is it an integrated part of the console harness?)

Yes, I put one in my 2015 Tahoe and it worked great

Phil, please excuse me for going slightly off the thread, but if the escalade lid fits, it looks to be bigger, could help some of the older note users with your harness.

After completing this mod and spending $120 for the parts nessary. I wonder if you could just buy a $15 qi standard wireless charger and fabricate a bracket and then just plug in the USB in the console.

Yep, you can. But it won’t be done the right way and will always be a “hack” versus looking, acting and working like OEM. Your truck, your call.
