Ok, so this is for anyone who has a 14-15 truck that still wants to do the OEM headlight switch with the Off-road button. Or if you want on/off without delay for the 16-18. I found that the Amazon latching relays were unreliable in functionality. This way works perfectly every time. I'm not a 100% sure but for the folks that have a 16-18 truck you might be able to run the grey wire to bcm and to the relays and still get the dash icon light to come on. I will test this when I wire up my 18 in the future.

Hey bro so I tried the relay setup and CAN'T get it to work don't know what i am doing wrong... Om the relay diagram you have the yello wire connected to 12v output there is no power. And on the wire where the gray wire connects to relay it has power always. I checked my connections with the diagram. So not sure what the issue. Can you help?

Did you hook to the bcm at all? If so it could be causing the issue. Can you send me some pictures of the wiring on the relays?

The 14-15 trucks don't have the bcm programming for the dash indicator. And you will have to make a latching relay like I made here in this post. And not hook wires to the bcm.

Yes in the picture the yellow wire goes from switch to tie in between the relays and the light bar. Everything in the diagram picture is as it should go.

You can try connecting the gray wire to BCM amd see if it will light up the indicator light on the dash. GRAY WIRE TO PIN # 12 WHITE BCM CONNECTOR. Let us know if it works plz.

Reviving this thread because I came across it in my search.

It looks like BT Diesel Works AutoSync can program the BCM to use the offroad light switch.

I came here to ask if anyone knows if the part # 84448514 will work for a 2015? The part # 84168423 has been discontinued and is crazy expensive if you can even find it.

The harness and new switch part # only comes out to about $100 so I was just going to send it and see if it works but thought I would ask here first.

The switches are all the same function wise. That's just an updated part number. Are you sure the autosync can make the offroad light switch work in the bcm? I know it allows you to change the turn off delay for trucks that have the factory programming. I have an autosync and I had to build the latching relay setup to run the switch in my 2014.

    • Did you even read this article?   Even the title of the article says "U.S.-Iran Deal Doesn’t Mean a Swift Return of Oil and Gas Flows"   Remember, crude oil prices are based on FUTURE purchases by the oil companies.  Gas prices are based on FUTURE purchases by the station.  This article stated that many of the oil producing nations have to restart their processes to get the oil produced.  Then the oil has to be shipped to wherever.  And it doesn't get there overnight.  And most of that oil is not coming here. Check out this site:  https://afdc.energy.gov/data/10621   A graph will pop up to show where the US imports their oil from.  Notice that there isn't a lot of import from OPEC and Iraq.  Most of the US import comes from Canada. The US oil produces are selling their oil on the open market, which is why the US fuel costs went up.  So you're correct, the US oil companies are going to slow walk the price downward.

    • I just purchased a 2004 Tahoe with 148,******. I used to have a 2006 Suburban that had the push button Auto 4X, 2Hi, 4Hi and 4Lo. When checking out this truck I noticed it had push button but didn’t focus on it. After the purchase when driving home, this is when I noticed it was different and after a little research found out it has the AWD stabilitrak system. I don’t live in an area that requires AWD. I bought the truck to start a new adventure in life with off roading, now that the kids are all grown up. I purchased the truck knowing it didn’t have the G80 rearend but plan on re-gearing to drive on 33s or 35s and upgrade with a rear locker and still be able to tow when needed. Blah Blah Blah Anyway I know am thinking about converting the stabilitrak  to Z71. I know I will have to replace the transfer case. So now the information gathering stage is happening to see if it is worth it. Is the front AWD stabilitrak differential different when compared to a non-AWD front diff? Will I need a completely different front differential or can it be converted? What else should I be considering? I did see something in a video for GMT900 platform with removing the ABS fuse that disables the stabilitrak and turns the truck into a 2 wheel drive. Would that work in the GMT800 platform?
