My son bought a 2017 Silverware and wanted a set of lighted step Inserts for a gift.  We bought them for him and trying to wire them.  They have led lights for running, reverse and braking.  Before I cut into wiring harness I see three wires to each of the tail light bulbs.  the wire colors don't match the step lights wiring. Does any one have an idea of what to splice ?

Green wire is the turn signal. Black is ground. Brown is park lamp...if I recall.

what about running and reverse.

Running light/park lamp = same.

You should have a separate bulb socket for the the reverse bulb.

I do.  3 wires.  1 green with 2 black

The two black are most likely tied together.

Had hard time getting my light bar wired up and working tapping the factory wiring. So I bought one of these Curt harness. In less than half the time I spent trying to figure it out I had it done with this. Just cut 5 way plug off.

white=ground

brown= tail

green=r turn/brake

yellow=l turn/brake

blue=reverse
