Like previously stated, I fixed mine myself with the permatex window and glass sealant which is a lot more viscous and goes into every nook and cranny - this is after I had the Kent sealant done by the dealer the first time.

Hotrodz37, how did clean the area before applying the Permatex?  I saw you taped off the area.  Did you just run some water on top the existing sealant and dry it with a blower?

No leaker here so can't do a 100% verification, but the problem seems to be with the spoiler design, regardless of weather the sealer leaks or not, and any cracks in the trim make it worse.

I just blew it off with some compressed air, figured there’s not really a good way to clean it but if there was any loose debris at least the air would get it out of there.

Had mine fixed with the sealant “Patch” 2 weeks ago. Already leaking after The first bad thunder storm in Illinois this weekend. Headliner soaked in both corners. Worse then when I brought it in the first time to get fixed. Thinking I’ll need a new headliner as well. Should be fun....

I was washing my truck a couple weeks ago and noticed a small leak on the driver side of my back window. Took it to the dealer and they “fixed” it. Got silicone all over my rear window and bed cover and scratched the spoiler when they removed it. Luckily, they didn’t mess up the interior of the truck any. And the window doesn’t leak anymore (yet). So I complained and they told me they would fix the spoiler and clean the job up but I ended up buying a new painted spoiler on eBay and just replaced it myself. Cleaned the silicone job up while it had it off. It sucks when you can’t trust a dealerships work.

Dropped off my '19 LTZ Z71 for the third time on this issue this week.  

1. initial leak on drivers side corner, removed spoiler, applied sealer, did a $hitty job with sealer on window and plastic trim and paint, leaked much worse on first hand wash

2. replaced headliner, resealed window, cleaned everything - leaked on passenger side after 2 weeks just sitting in driveway

3. back in the shop, no word on the plan yet

Love the truck but really disappointed in this issue.

Are the fixed rear windows leaking now too? I thought this was a slider window issue?

So in the process of replacing my headliner because of water staining from the rear window leak, I now have a leak from my front window... Apparently the front windshield had to be removed to replace the headliner. Oh, and my rear window is leaking AGAIN!!! My dealership has tried to reseal the original window, then the entire rear window was replaced, then the new rear window was resealed, and now I've discovered the leak yet again. I'll be calling back my Chevy corporate rep tomorrow, and possibly a SC lemon law lawyer depending on how the conversation with Chevy goes...74c0daecf705bbc99c6a290a05c065a3.jpg

Do you really need a lawyer for lemon claims? Just curious. In Texas my buddy handles it with Ford without one.

I am from S.C. also, if you would please let me know how you make out with the lemon law.  My dealer has had my truck for 3 weeks now.

I got to looking at this again, are you sure that is coming from the front window and not from the gasket on the driver door? They have to remove those as well to remove the headliner, and maybe it was re-installed incorrectly?

      Folks, Have a great new 2026 WT  (std cab, 2.7/4WD) w/base 40/20/40 mech adj bench "fake buckets"  (with lower and upper center console) heavy vinyl seats.  Overall the seats are very comfortable and the vinyl is heavy and appears less likely to 'split out'. Am very tall (6'5")  + a bad back/osteporosis/former hyperparathyroidism so ease/range of movement is a bit restricted.  The truck rides a bit high and I use a nerf step bar w/my left foot to step in, then I put right foot/leg in, drag my butt in  & get seated.  Worked fine in my 2018 RAM quadCab. But I end up dragging my butt over the left raised sidecushsion area of vinyl seat, and due to texture there's fair amount of traction on slide inward.  (ArmorAll didn't improve.) If the seat were even ~1/2" - 3/4" lower it'd be helpful, but base seats just have the forward/backward underseat bail and the side lever for tilt which really doesn't affect seat height.   I really don't want to 'de-puff' the left side sidecushion forming the  fake 'bucket'. I know one company sells 'seat elevator blocks':  but is there a simple way of lowering the height of the driver seat instead?   Thanks Bill W San Jose

      The curb weight on a 1 ton crew cab long bed is around 7k lbs.  Now, I don't know where you went to school but 9k is not more than 2x 7k lbs. More than 2x 7k lbs would be 14k+.   With that said, obviously yes you're going to feel a 9k lb trailer when slowing down.  I already said, when accelerating.  When changing lanes?  No.  But if you look at the context of what was quoted, the original person said, "after a mile or two..." which means that would be after the accelerating portion and you're driving a generally steady pace.  Please do learn to read and comprehend.

      Like I've said before. Di and Carbon buildup is not that big of a concern. Engine had minimal buildup, and that engine was obviously not super well maintained. Do regular oil changes, and you're gtg as long as the rest of the truck lasts. Also, the High Pressure FP that people ****** about, but can't tell you why.  Now, I wish they'd trash the variable oil pump. No real world issues with them, but I'll gladly eat whatever miniscule MPG it's saving me in favor of more oil at all RPMs.    Curious to see his assessment of the 7.3 compared to the 6.6. I expect he'll praise the port inj, but from a structural standpoint, the 6.6 is as robust as any engine out there.    Not to take away from the 7.3. I feel it's equally as good as the 6.6.     As to heat on the rear cyls, I'd have to see numerous examples before I'd say it's an issue. Especially not knowing the history of that engine. For all is known, they could have blown a rad hose, and ran it hot, and the 2 rear cyls may be the first to get hot in a low coolant situation, but not be an issue aside from that.
