Rear window leak

Add me to the list of leaks, I have a 2020 GMC Sierra AT4. I am in the waiting area at our local dealership now. They will be attempting to remove the spoiler / headliner  and squirt the clear seam sealer in between. Fingers crossed. I am not happy about the seam sealer but i would would be more frustrated having the back glass cut out. Will update in a week or so.

"By the way, which one's Pink?" Great song.

As for the original topic, so far no leaks with my rig.

Absolutely horrendous, so many thousands of units with this issue.  Is your truck the Slider Window or Fixed Window?

My truck has the slider. They told me the seam sealer has to dry 24 hours before I can get it wet, but my truck is ready for pick up. It only took them two hours for the “repairs”. I asked them if it still leaks and they said they cannot water test it for 24 hours. So then I asked them how is my truck ready for pick up if you do not know that your tube of seam sealer fixed my leak. Idiots.

I got my truck back and so far it has been through two torrential downpours with no leaks.  From what I can see they did a decent job of applying the sealant.  I had no paint scratches or scratches on the interior trim, so I'm pretty happy about that.  The only issue is now I can occasionally hear a "pop" noise from the back of the cab while driving.  I assume it's the spoiler, because it seems to be coming from outside.

Probably due to being over tightened.

Might be this.

Add another 21 GMC Sierra 2500 with a weeping window. 2500 miles, but appear frame Is intact still. Almost looks like it’s a poor seal on the driver side where the frame is glued to Glass on the top edge and there looks to be a weak amount of sealant compared to passenger side. Going into dealer Monday, fingers crossed they are gentle with her.

I am having the same issue. Just bought a new GMC 2500 Denali. Had it for three days and it rained. The top plastic track that the power rear window moves in has a leak. It  looks like the track is glued or sealed to the window. Started to leak right where the track and the window meet at the corner of the track behind the driver side.

As assumed they played a bead of seam sealer on top of window to start the process. We shall see if it keeps it sealed long term. Good news it’s on Saturday got a good rainfall and it didn’t leak in so it would seem only to leak during a car wash with water spraying up in that area. They did a good job to get the interior back to the same shape as I dropped it off so that’s a plus.

I consider myself lucky that mine only drips a small amount when its in steady rain for 6hours +. Until there's a rea; "fix" I cant see trusting a dealer to "try" and fix it...possibly making it worse.

Add my 2019 to the growing list of leaks. Took it into the dealer and they leak tested it and confirmed the leak. Adviser said that they wouldn’t do the sealer that they were just going to replace the window. Got my truck back today with a new window. Fingers crossed it’s fixed. Strange that Safe-lite is who installed the window.
