Going in for the back window replacement today, the seal job didn't work so they ordered the rear slider about two weeks ago.  Hoping the glass company they use does a great job, anything less and they will definitely hear about it!

Wish me me luck...  better yet wish them luck!!

Got mine back on repair #3 ...

This time an entire new rear window installed by a glass company.

Let's see if it holds ... if not, Mr. Lemon Lawyer will be calling.

I hope you have better luck than i did.  The glass replacement actually fixed the leaking.  IF the glass company could have just put the glass in straight (not crooked) i would be happy.  I find out Monday where i stand.  Still haven't heard from the dealer whether they got the headliner delivered to the shop and installed yet.   As for Mr Lemon,  i thought about that but it comes down to trying to get a replacement truck and i hear its slim pickings.

My truck has been in 3 time with this leak and the first 1 time getting it back it was like a water fall and the second and third are very little leaks and they replaced the headliner and rear window itself and it's still leaking after the third time of getting it back and it's in the same place as before and in in the lower track of the window now too. I believe at this point is is something Wrong with the design of the trucks water draining system from the roof causing the water to get into the vehicle (pictures are from the most current leak)

Add me to the list at 35k miles.  Dang glad it happened now instead of at 36,001 miles

First time to dealer about the rear window leak. Visible cracks in slider frame inside from back seat. Initially dealer said they were going to pull out the window and reseal it. Told the service manager I wasn't happy with that due to the visible cracks and that they were fixing the symptoms and not the cause. Tech looked at it again with me and I pointed out the cracks. They are ordering a new window and having Safelite do the replacement.

Been awhile since we've got an update from jeepincbum11.  Wondering how things went on Monday a couple weeks ago now.

Got my rear glass replaced by safelite a few days ago...shattered it, oops...Leaks so bad that water is coming out of my side pillar and seatbelt opening.

The dealership tried the required seal job on my back window leak first, that didn't work. A few weeks later they installed a new rear glass, that did the job! In and out in one day because I made sure they had the glass in stock before scheduling the work. Happy to report they did a good job and no other damage or screw-ups (interior or exterior) from either repair!

Also, pleased to report that after driving through a few heavy rains and a couple of trips to the car wash it is dry, no leaks!!

Problem solved, love my truck again!!

Going on 4 months of the initial seal repair....no leaks so far. The truck has been through a handful of car washes and many heavy rains. Anyone get lucky with the seal repair doing the trick?

I have to give a shout out to Maggio Buick in New Roads. The guy that worked on my truck did phenomenal work. I think having a good technician is more than half the battle.

Hey all,  Thanks for the reminder.   Been busy traveling.

So - Status update.    Got the truck back.  It appears to be fixed.   The inside smells like a new truck (new headliner).  The window is level.   All the parts put back where they belong.   Nothing rattles (yet), and it doesn't leak.   Truck was dolled up and no scratches or glue are visible.

The only issue i have found is they scratched the side post where the passenger seatbelt retracts when they dropped/installed the headliner.

Still waiting to see what the dealership is going to do.   I am giving them another week before i start filling out their surveys and then adding more reviews to online websites.

At least the leaks are gone.

I was supposed to have mine back this past friday.  The service rep called and said he identified where the glass company scratched the truck so he has it in the body shop getting the scratches repaired.  Seems like a never ending saga, Im ready to have my truck back.

My truck has been in the shop roughly 4 months total because they can't get it to stop leaking. It has been in and out 6 times now and I still don't have it back they gave me a little buick suv that can't even be used to haul anything. And I am having the same issues with the quality of work that everyone else recently seems to be having with the scratches on the bedsides and where the seat belts retract after headliner and rear window replacement. Any ideas on what to do?

IMO, you are way overdue for a buy back!  If you haven't already, open a case with GM and pursue a lawyer.

I've opened a case already they have yet to do anything about it. I will be in contact with one very soon. And I got the truck back today after being told it was good to go no leaks I looked at the window before leaving and found water marks running down it again and clearly on the inside after being told it was good to go this is ridiculous
