Anyone know how many screws hold the rear spoiler to the top of the cab?  Is it 2 only?

Many more than 2. There’s a pic of a member’s truck with the spoiler off a few pages back in this thread.

I saw those pictures.  I see there were a few plastic retainers on the inside of the spoiler that snaps into the cab.  The TSB for the rear window leak sealant process looks like there’s only 2 screw around the third brake light once you drop the headliner. I know the picture may not tell the whole story.

Reason I ask is I had the sealant done recently and I found one single 1 1/2” or so black bolt/screw (sorry not good with the terminology) on the backseat.  I’m guessing the tech didn’t put it back where it belongs.  I’d rather not go back to the dealership if it is not an immediate issue I need to address. But if my spoiler is only being held by 1 bolt and a few plastic retainers then I guess I need it addressed.

Ok, I got the sealant done today and the brake failure recall programming update. Praying they both work and I can stay out of the shop for a while. It’s snowing and really cold so I’ll give the caulking a good long time to cure correctly. The big test will be at the car wash next weekend. Fingers crossed!

Add me to the list.  Was washing my 2020 Trailboss LT and had water running down rear window, and collecting on top of seat backs..   I have an appointment at dealership on Thursday.  3200 miles.  Not happy

Pics taken.  The dealership said the 1st thing they do is spray water on it to see if they can replicate the issue.

Just got a call. I'm on like day 50ish. But they are finally agreeing to replace the back window to fix the sloppy mess they made. Lemon case is still ongoing. The party continues......

Please let us know what happens with lemon case.   50 plus days in insane!

How do you think i feel at day 88.  88 friggin days!!  Insane is be on how i feel.

88 days... OMG!!    yea...  well my registration is due on mine and it's in the shop, i'm not happy about paying $750 for that right now. . hahah

I am calling GM every other day and complaining about this.  I also pointed them to this forum and explained there is almost 1000 posts about this junk.  I suggest you call them at 866-790-5600 and complain as well if you have not.   They will get tired of hearing from this group of people if we make them aware on a regular basis.   The dealerships do not care..

Smitty they don't care.  If they cared they would be fixing our problems with the parts they have on hand instead of manufacturing new trucks.  My headliner is still on backorder after it shipped three weeks ago and then never showed up.  All the customer service people do is tell you nothing and try to make you feel better.  They are trained to make you feel like they are on your side and working for you and your best interest.  They kept telling me that I just need to be a little more patient after 57 days.

I have.  I dropped my truck off on nov 8th,  they gave me a loaner,  in the mean time the dealership got bought out and they need there loaner back,  after a huge run around and arguing to get a new loaner i called gm customer service and opened up a case at the beginning of December ,  only to have the senior advisor close my case on dec 20th,  called them back in the middle of January only to have them tell me that they would have to open a new case.  What a joke.

I've asked for a truck instead of a car.  I've also asked to let me use one of the used ones on the lot so a new one wouldn't be depreciated and I'm still driving this stripped down Malibu.

Talking about the dealer. The service guy I have been dealing with has told me in every conversation you need to take this vehicle back to where you purchased it. Oh well. So yesterday i finally got to take it in for the new window. I was taking pictures of it sitting in line just documenting the condition. I asked the service guy, you don't check over the vehicle and document the condition? He told me no and then asked why I was doing it. I told him I want to make sure my truck is is new condition when I roll it out of here. His response was, it is not new, it has 4400 miles on it and a leaking window.  I just chuckled, what an ass.

Other then that all my contact with GMC and the service manager at the dealership has been a positive experience.

Dropped November 6th.  I’ve got you beat!

Then i said how the hell could you close my case out without me getting my truck back,,,  no answer to that

because they don't care.  Contact a lemon law attorney and proceed with them.  That may be the only way to get their attention.

    • Thanks for all the help so far!   I did try right from 2026 right down to 2021, and only from 2023 down lets me select the option for tire psi change, but I get the vehicle not supported error!   I'll definitely try it under Chevrolet after work today, and I'll get the sensor number from gm for my truck tire sensors. And I'll let you know if it works for me under Chevrolet!   And if that doesn't work, I'm going to guess that what @Atlas said about maybe I have a different body control module could be true!
    • From where I'm sitting this sounds like a compatibility problem. I'm assuming the 2007 was a 900-series truck, and not an 800-series (they were sold side-by-side in dealerships that model year), since it starts and runs.   This is why I HATE post-2006 vehicles. Everything becomes a huge problem when you try to keep the thing running for longer than the manufacturer has designed it to.    I can't remember when Global-A architecture started - either '10 or '11. For your sake, you had better hope it's '11, or you're going to be spending some BIG money to correct this cluster-eff. That's something you need to find out before doing anything else. You may have several computers bricked ... but the fact that it runs tells me you MIGHT be ok here.     EDIT: Just did a quick refresher. You're screwed. This is Global-A. The 2 systems are NOT compatible in the slightest. Once you get the correct engine in there that IS compatible, you're going to need to see how many computers are locked. Absolute NIGHTMARE to straighten out, too. Your buddy might be better off cutting his losses and finding something else.   Welcome to post-2006 vehicle electronics. This is why I quit the industry, and drive nothing built after 1994. This stuff takes all the fun out of wrenching!

    • True, hard to say what differences there may or may not be between Chev and GM as well as a production year or mid year part change either.    I just found it odd that under the Sierra choice on the Autel that many of the last few years of production year did not include the choice of changing the tire pressure but if that is an Autel thing or a GM thing as to why the choices were not there. Knowing what tpms sensors are on the truck should give some guidance into which choices on the tool even make sense to try as I wouldn't give up just yet with the tool but I guess he will see what if anything he comes up with if he finds out a bit more info and tries a few more things on the Autel.
    • I'm sure if you went to a junkyard where you go in and pull the part off the truck yourself, not a used part place where they do it for you, you can get that part on it's own.  Depending on if and what else you would be buying, and time of day, they might even just skip over adding it as a item to the bill.
