I didn’t have any luck getting to the pricing some here were able to get. All the dealers advertise prices I would have been happy with but when you contact them they are just being sneaky and in my opinion openly dishonest and listing prices with every rebate possible knowing very few if any buyers can actually get every rebate they add in.

There is a local dealer who has some leftover 2018 Denali 1500’s but they are all black which I swore I would never buy another black vehicle. Maybe those advertised prices are real since they are now almost 2 years old now.

I am still looking.

I felt pretty good about my deal.  2019 LTZ Max Trailering 6.2 4wd.  Sticker at 58k.  They took 5k off that but gave me 28.5k for my 2014 z71 gmc trade.  Crazy good trade.   Drove out for around 27k after TTL.  And they delivered it from Lufkin to Houston.  Never set foot at dealership.  Did entire deal by text.  Pretty cool.

Purchase was from Labor Day weekend.

2019 Silverado RST, 4wd, 5.3, convenience 1 package.

MSRP was $46,975

I paid $33,352 before TTL fees. (Discount is from rebates and additional negotiated off price. No trade in involved)

Dealer made me finance for 3 months and then I can pay the loan off.

That was 29% off MSRP

I was looking for awhile as I fell in love with the New GM trucks at the Vancouver auto show earlier this year.

liked the look of both the GMC and Chev this time around.  Wasn’t super fond of last years GMC look.

Liked the painted bumper look of the RST and Elevation.  Not a fan of chrome.

Was watching the prices over last few months and kept looking for a used max trailer truck without any luck.  We bought a 24’ travel trailer which I felt was pushing my current 2007 Silverado 1500 to the limit.

Picking up my 2019 Sierra Elevation Double Cab later this week.  It’s a manager’s demo with 10,000km on it, paying $42,600.

It’s silver so no premium paint up charge and it comes with a leveling kit, BF Goodrich AT’s(don’t have to upgrade the POS factory tires now) and spray in liner.

For selected options it has 4x4, 5.3l, Convenience package with bench seat.  Kind of wanted the centre console but no big deal.  Current 07 Silverado has it and I love it, although it’s just full of crap!

Max Trailing package.

It’s nice that the Elevation trucks come with the 20” black wheels which look great on the silver truck.

Looking forward to the upgrade.  My 2007 is still a decent truck but having more power, better tow handling and the 8 speed transmission over the 4 speed sure will be nice!

I'll be ready to purchase in 2 weeks. Please keep us posted.  Was told Alpine Buick/GMC in Littleton, CO. Offers decent prices but nothing like what I'm seeing on here.

when in came down to it they were not budging nothing more than Mfg incentives

Those mfg "incentives", "rebates", and such are a smoke and mirrors marketing game to draw in buyers.  The dealer already paid GM for the vehicle. The OEM already got their money after the vehicle was delivered to the dealer.  Either the dealer paid GM for the vehicle or their lending institution that bankrolls their floorplan did.    And that price paid is substantially less than any incentives and rebate nonsense.  Those are marketing gimmicks to make the customer think they are getting a break from the OEM as if the OEM still owns the vehicle and the dealer is just a go between.  Nope, once the dealer takes delivery of the vehicle it is theirs and the dealer is totally on the hook for selling the vehicle.  GM might give them a little kickback in the event they cannot get the vehicle sold as a way to reduce a loss, but GM is under no obligation to do so.  All a dealer can do is continue to discount the vehicle until it gets sold, even if that means taking it in the shorts and eating a loss.   A vehicle that doesn't sell does not go back to the OEM. It is the dealer's problem.

The only "incentive" that the OEM gives a dealer is a "hold back" of around 2-3% off the invoice price which goes away after 30 - 60 days from delivery.  If the dealer can sell the vehicle prior to 30-60 days, that hold back amount becomes pure profit to the dealer.  If they don't move the vehicle in that time, the holdback goes away.

For every day a vehicle sits on a dealer lot, it typically will cost about $15 in interest to the floor plan financing from their lending institution.  So, every day that vehicle doesn't get sold eats more into their profits.

This all is not some sort of "secret" insider stuff.  You can find this information in many business and financial websites.

^^^^ THIS ^^^^.  Our rural, small-town GM dealer used to order all of the anniversary editions, pace car editions, 2004-2006 GTOs, SSRs, etc., all of the gee-whiz new models coming off the General's assembly lines.  While those models did drive some showroom traffic, for the most part, they sat there in the showroom for a year or longer, until they were finally traded to another dealer for a HD truck or such.  The worst were 2 little Buick Cascada convertibles.  It took them 2 1/2 years to get rid of them.  The sales manager said "never again!" on those.  Now they have new owners and only stock the high-volume models that sell quickly.  You can special order a gee-whiz limited edition, but they'll make you put down a significant deposit on it before they'll place your order.

Good morning fellow members. Is this a fair deal? 2019 Silverado 1500 Crew cab LTZ  msrp $58,900 dealer asking price $48,700 before tax. I realize it’s not 20% off. But I’ve been waiting for a $10,000 discount on an LTZ. For a while. Should I try to twist the dealers arm a bit just to see their reaction?

Why is that so high? is it 4wd? does it have a lot of dealer added packages? I purchased a 2018 LTZ TX Edition last year (just traded that in a week ago, post later), sticker was 48, got it for 34, but there were a ton of incentives, and I was super patient.  I Was driving around a 2005 trailblazer before than and had been looking for a new truck for 18 months.  Have a price in mind and look around.  You have to be patient.  With that said I have never been able to get a dealer to go any lower than what they are listing it for, but i have been able to work more on the trade, but i live in DFW and the trucks are priced pretty aggressively around here.

I just traded in my 2018 Silverado 1500 LTZ Texas Edition (MSRP was ~48k, 16.5k Miles at trade in) a week ago.  I got a new 2019 Silverado 1500 LTX Texas Edition with all the added safety features I didn't want to pay for when I bought the 2018 last year.  I didn't spend the extra 3k last year, and my truck was missing all the safety features and I decided finally I would upgrade.  I was looking at Sierras for a while, but I couldnt get them to come down in price at all after the incentives and I was still looking at 41k for the Sierra.  I ended up coming across a retired loaner at the Chevy dealership and went with that.  It had 3k miles on it, but it was everything I wanted in the Sierra (LTZ, convience package, cooled seats which is a must in Texas, front and rear park assist, lane keep, forward collison alert, push start, true keyless entry,  rear vent, rear heated seats, navigation).  MSRP on it was 51.8k, dealer discounted it for 10.1k, and I was able to qualify for another 8.25k worth of incentives.  After the dealer accessories (spray in bedline [wish I didn't have to pay for this, as the rhino liner is better and cheaper], tint, and automatic running board) the selling price was 36k.  I was able to get 32.5k for trade in value on my 2018 Silverado 1500 Tx Edition LTZ with 16.5k miles on it (which I had paid ~35k for last June) so I was 32.5k out the door.  I added the 2k maintence plan and extended warranty, as well as the 1k Club Plus Plan.  Ending up same finacing terms as previous truck and lowered payment $2.  Side note, what does everyone think of the MPP Plans, both the Club Plus, and Platinum Care?  I purchahsed them last year with the vehicle and cancelled a few days after leaving the dealership, and I'm thinking about doing the same this go around.  Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks in advance

Crazy how they come up with these numbers. I have almost a fully optioned 19 Denali almost 69k sticker and I got them to 58K before TTL. My original offer was 56k then they came back at 60K & they finally took 58.

I bought my red 2019 LT Trail Boss yesterday at Champion Chevy in Johnson City, TN

MSRP: $56,050
Paid: $45,819

The dealer through in a sport bar to sweeten the deal but I haven’t decided if I will install it or not. If I install it I can’t mount lights due to garage clearance.
