Running Board Pics

I'm considering purchasing running boards for my truck and I can't find very many pictures of trucks with different ones. So if you have aftermarket running boards, could you post pictures of the whole truck? (not just a close up of the running boards)

I don't have pictures but the amp power running boards I have are pretty slick. I'm not stoke on the obd connection but hmtgey do the job and tuck nice. Doesn't even look like I have any!!acd9395c8bcb0ba456d580e43389b477.jpg

These are what came with the truck when I bought it from the dealer used. They are Luverne MegaStep running boards. They are alright but my only complaint on them is that the brackets that mount it to the underside of the body had to be notched out a little on the front bracket mounting area. The bracket was rubbing on the body and would squeak anytime someone would step on the board. I just pried it over and then ground off a little metal on the plate and it works fine now. The other complaint on this is that the chrome outside edge scratches soooo easily. Just from me getting in and out I have my pant leg rub on that spot and my shoe bumps it and there is a dull spot right where I get in from rubbing on that part of the chrome edge.

Without and with nerf style - cheap eBay specials since I wasn't sure if I wanted any. Wish they were more like 2017Darkness has - more flush to the rocker. They get the job done...I like the GM's without boards though.

My truck has the flat chrome ones, learning very quickly that they suck. Had the nerf tube style on my 04 i just got rid of. Liked them much better.

I removed the OEM chrome 6” steps, and installed the GM 3” Off Road Steps

What functional differences have you found between the 2?

to be honest, Nothing really.....if anything at all the 3" step pad is ever so smaller.  I liked the looks of the tubular steps over the wide flat chrome steps.  The 6" wide chrome steps made the bottom of the truck too chunky IMO

That's what I think, too. Do the 3" step pads seem any lower/easier to use height wise?
