autostop eliminator

I just ordered one. I despise that feature. And no switch used every start will last forever. I hate hitting it every time. An we have 3 cars and 2 trucks plus I drive semis for a living. I don't like a special step for just 1 vehicle.

I mainly purchased one not because i just find it annoying to press it all the time but because other family members and close friends may borrow my truck.  Not all of them have these feature on there vehicle.  So rather than ask them to not forget to turn it off when they get in and start it.  This device turns it off automatically.  I mean the light on the switch does come on during start up but the quickly goes out and states on the DIC that auto Start Stop has been turn off just the same as if you used the switch.  I would also notice when it does work at times when it would start up at a stop light I would lose 2 miles less on total miles before tank goes empty.  I like the device in my opinion.

I finally plugged my laptop into the truck tonight. 14 hours each of the last 2 days made me too tired the last 2 nights. The only thing that requested an MIL was the brake system module. A lost communication code. The freeze frame data from the time of the request all looked fine. It's either a fluke or I did something installing the auto stop eliminator. It's off now. I've been driving my old Duramax since that day. I will drive the 1500 tomorrow and make sure it stays off. But there were no ECM or CAN codes that would have been caused by installing that unit. The freeze frame didn't even show any requests from it during the time the MIL was requested.

I used:  AUTOVLOG

EVERY time you order something, Google for a coupon code.  I ordered from Griots and The Rag Company this morning and found coupon codes for both.  I wasn't able to find one for BakFlip MX4 cover, and all of the links that I've seen posted for "better prices" are all showing the factory direct price unless you call, however, Amazon had it for $120 less with Free 2nd day Prime shipping.

Anyone who bought the Autostop (AFM)disabler you realize it just controls the auto stop system? You truck still has the the DFM fuel management system the eliminates cylinders when less power is needed which can cause other issues . Ranger has a product that handles both and it plugs into the main plug underneath the dash . Your truck runs on all cylinders and doesn’t shut off at stops. It cost $149 when I got it in 2020. Hope this helps 81F97AAC-A8EB-4D1B-9452-2090B860EC6F.thumb.png.7465b012b5c52739e4d22b46de4a1c30.png

Sadly, isn't compatible with the refreshed 2022 models yet. Wonder what the differences are? Even powered running boards and some bed mats claim to not be compatible.

It's not even compatible with a 21 with the 10spd. Would have bought it a while ago if so. Two birds, one stone.

The Range also wasn't compatible with my '20 with the 8 speed. It caused surging between 30-50 mph when constant on the throttle. Their techs couldn't explain or solve, so I guess I was a unique case to them. Went with the Eliminator that plugs in behind the center console switch and it has been flawless.
