Has anyone had their antenna just keep spinning when they tried to take it off?

If I remember right, there are 3 screws/bolts that hold the "housing" onto the truck. If they are loose, antenna will spin and not break free.

They are located under the plastic cover that the antenna disappears into.

Okay i had that panel off but i figured those bolts were tight since they were never messed with. The antenna just kept spinning and spinning and wouldnt do anything so it imagine that would be my issue.  Thank you!

When i took mine out it was really on there with locktite. Find the perfect fitting wrench for it and you may need to put a locking pliers on the bottom portion so it doesnt spin.

Related: if you are putting in another antenna, only one that worked for me and actually improved the reception was a cheap one from walmart. I have a post about it on here.

Took the mast off of both my '15 and my '18 with no issues.

Did the antenna relocation mod on my '15, and full antenna delete on my '18.  Looking at installing a pair of "hidden antennas" on my '18 on Saturday.

Remove that mast, connect a coax to the antenna post and the bottom of the antenna mast (after you relocate the mast under the right fender).  I had some pictures posted, but I can't find them, will have to look on my phone or the computer at home.  Attached are the posting that I got the idea from, and another that came along after I relocated my '15's antenna.  Didn't get around to installing the hiddens on my '18, yet.  Going to do it and finish my CB install before I go on my road trip, in the next couple weeks.
