These issues are unfortunate I was about to purchase this. Guess I'll wait to see if they update it.

They have a 30 day guarantee. Maybe you’ll have better luck than me.

Mine worked fine all weekend after the small problem I had when using it “on the fly” and finding out they don’t really mean that. Remote started it today and had a CEL. Onstar couldn’t give me the code, “unable to probe module”. She asked if I had anything connected to the truck. It wasn’t shifting right and surging at cruising speed (35mph).

I’m really hoping my device needs an update but the tech support person I spoke with this morning said “probably not, it’s brand new so there shouldn’t be any updates available”. Needless to say I’m about one or 2 more CELs from returning it.

Others say theirs works flawlessly. I’m not that lucky.

Disconnect the thing and see if running issue clears up and/or then get code from onStar.

Exactly what I plan to do tomorrow. Didn’t feel like messing with it tonight as I have a small shim in the negative terminal (because it fits loose) and I don’t wanna lose it [emoji3061]

Shim? Negative terminal? Sounds like a source for a problem.....

After 2 dead batteries, one being on a “new” battery because the first was blamed on a bad cell, I investigated on my own and found the negative terminal was looses even when tightened all the way down. I put a small piece of metal in between the post and the terminal to take up the slack. I can assure you it is not a source for a problem as it’s been 7,200 miles since...

10-4. My first though was that you'd shimmed a terminal in one of the connectors... Rather than the battery terminal.

My truck recently did a software update on its own. I was prompted to initiate it when I had about 15 min. to complete it. My question is does anyone know if we would have to unplug this device every time GM sends an update to our trucks?

Got it installed yesterday afternoon and it’s a night and day difference. The one I originally got had a dead pedal lag kinda thing. This one does not. No CEL either. Haven’t tried adjusting the throttle setting on the fly, I’ll do it today though..

I tried to install mine this morning.  As soon as I turn the ignition on I get reduced engine power, ESC and parking brake errors.  Range is sending out another one.  Bummer.

It’ll be worth the wait.

I got mine from Diablo.  No difference I'm sure.  Worked great.  Only odd thing is I can't shut off start/stop with dash switch when unit is hooked up and set to not disable it. I can disable it through the unit as designed though.
