What did you get for it?

$44K It was still like new, still smelled new inside 17,500 miles.

Is anyone having luck trading in to GM after you pass the Pico test and have the new extended warranty? Is the block until the recall action is closed for your vehicle or is it the full kiss of death for the whole range?

My local dealer has confirmed that one truck failed the pico test.
None have failed with over 20,000 miles on them.
Mine is at 11,300 miles.

Thanks for the info. Nice looking truck. Post a pic of your new 2500 when you get it, before you leave us. 😉

What part of the country is this? You don't have any locale in your Profile.

That's surprising since most I have seen blow up in the 30k mile range. RIGHT where I happen to be at almost 35K currently.

My '22 is at the dealer today for the test and oil change. He's had 2 failures so far. He's tested a bunch so a low fail rate. I'll ask more questions when (if?) I pick it up later today. This is in the upper midwest.

Dealer called and the truck failed. He didn't know anything about something to drive for the 1+ months vehicle is not available to me. I called GM customer service and someone will be calling in 1-2 business days with an update.

Wish me luck. This isn't OK.

You're right, it is not ok, as the recall bulletin explicitly states you are entitled to a loaner if you're within the warranty period.

If you look back up higher in this thread, the recall bulletin is posted so maybe you should print it out and show it to the dealer.

All of these issues because Mary wanted to save GM labor cost, these are many first time and never again GM customers after this issue.

IF the dealer has any.  95% of dealers are so backed up on wait lists for loaners its not funny.  Some won't even add more cars in their fleet.

She was all fire & brimstone after the Cobalt ignition switch fiasco...

Had the pico test performed this past Friday and it passed.  Oil change with 0W-40 done.  I was a little over 37,500 miles.  Just going to drive it and not worry about it at this point.  I was a little frustrated that it took the dealer all day.  I had a 9:30am appointment and they got me a Lyft home.  I was prepared to wait on it, but they said the process takes several hours.  They called to say it was ready at 5pm.  And supposedly they have one Tech dedicated to these recalls.

They should be providing rental cars if they're out of loaners. A dealer near me did that every time I brought it in for warranty work.
