Running the 2.25" Readylift leveling kit up front, has the upper and lower spacer. Also added the 1" taller block out back. Only about 5k miles on the setup so far but no issues and rides fairly well in my opinion. Tires are 305/55/20 on 20x10, -24 wheels. I did have to trim some plastic and zip tie the fender liner back, still rubs in reverse while turning but nothing serious.

So i put my RC 2" level kit and Toyo 295/55/20's on this weekend. Install was simple, just like on my 2011. It definitely helps to have an extra set of hands when wedging that spacer in there. 295/

Mine is finally done! After months of research I went with the RC 2.5" level kit front only, stock rear block. 20"x9" Fuel Nutz w/ +1 offset, 33x12.50x20 Toyo M/T tires. No rubbing, No trimming, yet a

What is the rake on this if you do t mind me asking? 1 1/2”?

Sounds like your u joints are out of phase.  Is ur rear block installed?  Some guys leave out the rear block.  U could experiment like that or I'd get ahold of rough country and straigten it out. 

Also make sure it's compatible with magneride

We actually took rear block out and put 2” in the front. Didn’t make a difference. Also put spacers and dropped deferential. Nothing changed.

That's odd. I had no issue. Did you have the dealer "re-zero" the magnaride? basically after you do the level the magnaride thinks its in a giant perpetual bump and will ride like a dump truck until you do this.

Yes they did. I’m sure it’s one of those crappy luck deals. Put the 2” kit in a 5.3 Denali and all the problems went away ??‍♂️

Yup, almost 1 1/2" exactly.  It's 1 3/8" on the drivers side and 1 1/2" on the passenger.

Looks great!  With regards to the ReadyLift...do you have the option to only put in the top round spacer and leave the bottom U spacer out or do you have to install both?  Also do you happen to know how much of a lift you would get by just putting in the top or bottom spacer?

Thank you. You could leave one or the other out. I believe the upper spacer raises it 1.5" and the lower gets you the other 3/4" but I'm not for sure on that.

Can you elaborate on the "performance balance?"  I have the same tires (XL rated).  Could only get the road force balance down to 16 & 19 lbs. on two of the tires and it is evident at highway speeds.

Installed a 3" Motofab level on my 2016 Silverado Z71 last weekend. Rear is stock. Wheels are 20x12 -44 offset and tires are 33x12.5. Took some plastic and metal trimming, no rub at full turn. Before and after pics below. Smoking my turn signals and corner markers this weekend.. will probably vinyl wrap the chrome bumper mustache too.

Loving them so far. Only have about 400 miles on them. They growl a bit at low speeds and hum over 50+, but I actually like hearing them. Nothing overwhelming. Very smooth for a mud tire. My little brother has them on his 2009 and they're wearing very nice.

Good question.

 

First question would be do you feel steering wheel shimmy (side to side vibration or Couple vibration) or do you feel in your seat or dash area a hopping sensation (up and down vibration or Static vibration)?

 

My performance balance method is done by mounting the wheel correctly with low taper collet on back side of wheel and using a pin plate to secure wheel by the lugs. I then put my direct drive COATS Balancer in "fine mode" (opens blind under .25oz) and remove all residual unbalance to under .10oz. In most cases I get it to .03 to .01oz where a Hunter Balancer will only go down to .10oz. If these unbalance forces line up you could still potentially have .20oz residual on this Balancer. This is stated in the GM bulletin to take a Hunter Balancer out of "Smartweight mode". FYI Smartweight mode is a marketing term used to sell a shop on money they can save on wheel weight purchases without sacrificing Balancer quality. Unfortunately in the real world there are too many variables and the shop can potentially leave themselves open to come backs.

 

The Roadforce you mention with 16 and 19 lbs means there is run-out of .016" and .019" of an inch in the tire & wheel assembly. You can actually tell if you have a problem if you have a High Static number when you Balance. If run-out number creeps over 30 or Static number over 3oz then you could potentially feel that, especially if you combine it with a Smartweight balance. 

 

Eliminating all vibrations (Static & Couple) is the best practice for best results. You can really feel a difference.

I got the "balance beads" with my new setup, no weights, smooth as glass.

      I am not techy at all but wondered if you have the truck running but sitting still in park as some functions gray out as soon as the truck is moving. I believe in the settings for updates you can choose for it NOT to update and I wonder by chance if maybe that was chosen before and now it won't allow you to chose to press update, I think that is back in the settings menu where it has all the items one wants on or off etc. Also I assume you have a wifi connection and checked that it has some signal strength, not that it would have anything to do with the grayed out updates choice in that case. What I am thinking out loud of here may be be of no value but thought I would suggest it, sometimes it can be the simplest thing that resolves an issue.

      The so called rare failure that some certainly liked to tout ( die hard Ford fan boys ) as per the lifter failing and wiping out the cam. Back when it started happening the blame was being pointed to the lifters and honestly I never did hear anything myself conclusively one way or the other on that. Ford themselves in I believe 2024 had a technical bulletin I will call it that came out and for some engine platforms they were reprograming the engines idle speed but also they had a software update for the oil pump which then some time later was said what that software update did as to be increasing the oil pressure at idle. It is a good question if that issue was completely solved as one Ford specialist mechanic youtuber said he saw failures after that time period. Like anything there would be the variables, what oil is being used and the OCI and how much idle time gets put on an engine. I've seen some comments to claim that the L8T isn't so happy with high idle time either but I also know that companies that require their vehicle to idle a lot on the job don't tend to get the oil changed often enough for all those hours of idle time and go off of the odometer.

      My 2026 Silv. 1500 WT (reg cab/short bed/4wd) has the 40/20/40 with storage in lower middle seat as well as the fold-down center bolster/armrest.   With the dual glove boxes this is about as much storage as possible in a std cab IMHO. Bill

      I have a 2026 base 1500 "WT" regular cab with basic Chevy "Infotainment 3" 7-inch screen/radio. How many speakers do I have If I want to upgrade? Is the audio amp separate from the radio/display unit]? [I listen to classical and it gets a bit raspy at slightly higher volumes. Don't need a sub etc.] Do I have two or 1 speakers in the doors? etc. Thanks Bill  San Jose
