Good to know! I"ll be hounding them about this so I'm no longer paranoid about opening and closing my rear window...

talked to my dealer today about this issue and the parts availability. he confirmed with my VIN that my truck needs the recall and he said to go ahead and make an appointment because they had all of the parts in stock now.

I'm going in today for an oil change, will definitely bring this up the the SM. Thanks!

hopefully this means that they are replacing the plastic parts with metal ones. Also maybe this means they will add the option back onto the build sheets. Come one GM fix the problem don't just get rid of the option permanently, like you did with the heated washer fluid option.

Had my truck serviced this morning, My vin was part of the TSB. The part was not available, should be here midweek.

I'll be getting mine checked on monday, I'm assuming its gonna be part of the VIN's since its an early model

anyone have the range of vin#s in the recall?

I agree, we ALL can make our own appointments at the dealership, how about addressing actual issues GM reps.... Please....

their bosses gave them a sheet full of answers. their bosses said if they put this then say this... if they put this then say this... if none of their answers are able to answer our questions then they will not post anything. you know who you can blame for this...... I can sum it up in one word. LAWYERS.... they are the root of all evil!

It is called the tel/cel phone. If concerned about the recall, just call service dept. and give vin. Done. I find most GM service depts. to be very helpful and responsive to calls and visits. At least GM is reading the threads.
