i like the stock set up, it keeps your truck stealthy and quiet, only mod i did was pull the flapper out and weld in a replacement pipe.  the stock exhaust is necked down to bump up the torque output for improved off the line grunt.  loosing torque to gain horsepower seems like the equivalent of loosing muscle mass in order to improve your yoga stretching skills. i'll pass..

Just had a Flowmaster Series 50 Delta Flow installed yesterday. Just a direct replacement of the stock muffler and removed flapper. Sounds exactly like I was shooting for, still muted and not at all obnoxious, but can now actually tell it is a V8! I didn't want much noise inside at all and it is great, you can hear it but it's not intrusive. No drone at all, except of course when V4 activates and then it sounds terrible but that is going away as soon as my Range AFM disabler gets here. I was a little worried that the 50 Series Delta Flow would be so quiet that you could hardly tell the difference from stock, but that's not the case at all.

I went again with the GMC Borla (which is the Borla Touring exhaust that is tuned to GM Specs). I had this setup on my 2015 Sierra and it was great

I'm running a black widow race venom 2.5 i/o in place of the stock muffler. Flapper removed as well as resonator.  With the resonator on it sounded stock still. Once off you could tell the difference. No drone at all (afm is disabled so can't speak for v4 mode). Its not loud inside while idling or cruising but it screams at wot. I don't like stupid loud and like to hear people talking to me from the backseat. I was worried this was going to be too loud as I have always ran their 250 series prior. CAI didn't do much but make the note a little deeper. I think the 250 series has a deeper tone than this and may go back to it once I install long tube headers.

Just got a 40 series put on yesterday, 3.5" tips. Love the sound. Not obnoxiously loud cruising through the neighborhood but loud when you get on the throttle. Love the low rumble. V4 drone is there but way overblown.. will tune that AFM out soon.

hows it sound?

i like my buddies gibson on his 5.0 F150 and their cat back for $500 seems to be a nice middle ground.

i just want some sound but drive almost all highway so no drone is a must (not worried about v4 mode)

My setup honestly has no drone as long as you aren’t in 5th or 6th Gear just chugging along at a low rpm

everyday normal driving for me I honestly have no drone in the cabin.

these MWA mufflers have no packing in them so no noise gets caught In the muffler. The sound just flows out. I 100% do not regret getting the muffler and love how it sounds.  You can check a sound clip here.  This is before my side exit. But that’s all that changed was the location of the tips. It got a little louder but nothing crazy.

    • On my wife's 2020 Blazer (~69000 miles), we started to notice the brakes pulsating at faster speeds. Typically around town you don't notice anything, but highway/interstate driving you will notice it. I decided to pull of the front tires and look at the brakes. I figured with the milage, the pads should be wearing out to their life span, but they actually looked decent. Still with "meat" on them. One pad has a ridge wearing in it, and that same rotor is showing the ridge too. That's not the concerning part...the other rotor appears to have a raised bump on it!  The picture make it look like a pimple! Very odd and strange! NOTE: These are the factory brakes and rotors.   I'm attaching pictures of the front brakes and what they look like ate ~69000 miles.
    • 2024 Chevrolet 2500 HD Custom 6.6 Gas Canadian built Truck  I tried to search for my previous thread on this topic but cant find it so my apoligies  for starting another one    #1   Since we have owned our truck purchased new it has this strange noise after using the remote start function  you press the remote start and you hear it start but right at the end of it starting it almost seems like it wants to start again after the truck is running .   There is no gap in time it is right at the end of the start . Almost sounds like when you have started a car/truck and its running and then you try and start it again and you get that grinding noise ,sort of     #2  You can only hear this if you are standing outside of the truck and near the truck  you cant hear it when you start the truck from inside  the cab . So it may very well be happening when starting the truck that way as in normally    #3   This only happens when it is started after sitting . For how long I don't know but it happens after sitting overnight for sure and it wont do it if you stop the engine after starting and then start it again  I have had it in to the Dealership before concerning this but they did not have the truck  when it was cold to hear it . Now its back in the Dealership left it overnight so they could possibly hear the problem . They said they tried and nothing happened . Well they did not know what they were listening for . I started the truck remotely and BINGO it makes the noise . Oh that sounds weird they say . We need to look into it ! I have left for this week at the Dealership    Does your 2024 2500 HD gas do this ?  Any of you fellas care to take the time and trouble to film this operation from a cold start  so I can hear what your sound like  Really  would like to know if this is anormal sound  Thank You Fellas !!
    • 2026 Z71.  The other day I was backing a trailer into the barn.  The alarm was going off just because the trailer was in the field of the warning sensors when you get too close to something.  For some reason now the warning alarm doesn't work anymore.  It used to go off when I was just normally backing my truck into garage.  I still have the guidelines in the back up camera.  Is there a button or something to push to turn the sound/Alarm on and off?  I have the touch screen in this truck.  There isn't a "P" on the dash except for the parking brake.  I can't find anything in the touch screen under settings or vehicle.  Thank you in advance.
    • Well one of our most reliable vehicles was sold yesterday. The first and only I gave for free to a grandkid. If they got skin in the game they take care of it. My wife bought new. Five years later my daughter got it to use. We got it back and gave it to our grandson after graduation. He did zero maintenance just oil changes. When the AC quit he drove his mother’s car rather than get it fixed. Instead he just bought a beater and sold the Elantra.
    • I usually do as well or better than the sticker for mileage. Usually better going west than east. North then South. Wind makes a difference. I’m not usually a conspiracy theorist. But it did dawn on me I’m going by the vehicle calculation. Now that would be interesting.
