Retrax vs Roll n Lock

I have had both the Rollbak on my 08 SD and went with the Protrax (Retrax with motorized closing) for my 16. For me the Retrax seems much better built and has to this point sealed my bed off from water much better. I like the look of both using the aluminum tops. Both carry a good amount of weight on top as needed (500 lbs retrax, 400 lbs rollbak). On the Retrax version I went with a matte black finish as I found the glossy black colors after a few years will dull and fade no matter how good I was at keeping it cared for . . Down side for retrax was the expense but I tend to keep my vehicles for a long period of time and it seemed worth it for the best build and materials.

The Rollbak has I am sure been updated since I originally purchased I just did not see quite the quality I found with the retrax. My 2 cents.
