I would keep the GMC as is inside, it looks nice with the 2 colours.

The chrome bezel just prys off as it is just taped on

Serious? It is? I tried pulling it multiple times and felt like I was gonna break it. I want to paint it black or CM

I can shift the whole thing around the gap it sits in, I doubt that there is any pegs that clips in.

Just placed an order for a set of 17" Method NV wheels in black. 10% off and free shipping, couldn't pass it up. Also ordered a D-ring receiver hitch in preparation for the upcoming winter.

Now I just have to sit on these wheels until I man up and order a set of 315/70r17's.

why 17's?

isn't wheel weight lighter than tire weight (if weight is of any concern to you)?

Well maybe he's like me and likes actual tire sidewall on a truck. Whenever I get new rims I plan on keeping it at 18s. I don't even like low pros on a car.

The 17's are so I could run a Duratrac in the 315/70r17 size which is just under 34.5" tall. This will be on my truck with just a 2.5" level.

I use my truck as a truck, I tow, I haul, and I take it through some rough stuff as well. I need tires that can handle it and the added clearance will be nice for some of the areas I need to go. It's not much but everything helps.

Either way, it was those or 18's. I don't mind the sidewall, it has it's benefits.

The Methods will look good, If they didn't cost double to get them in Canada I would've went with the Method Hole Magnesium's. Not many people running those, and I liked the look… May still see about getting a set for the '91, if the prices ever come down…

Left Taget yesterday and I had a rattle under the dash, it was pretty noticeable and I was getting real irritated. On the way home I reached down and pulled a couple areas, one of the areas felt real loose and it would stop rattling when I would apply pressure to it.

Got home and found the loose screw, it was directly above the handle for the hood. Removed 2 screw to get access to it and then tighten up the loose screw, it was really loose! Rattle is gone but I'm not gonna lie, I'm upset. At 9,000 she developed her first rattle. :sigh:

Not just today, but over the last few days I've been working on colormatching the chrome trim in the guage cluster

Drove around like this for the last 2 days

But here's the end results. Definitely worth it. It's easy to remove the trim, but it's a PITA at the same time

Last picture has a sneak for the next small interior project[emoji57] already got it in place, just need to straighten it up before I get a better picture of it

Also want to say thanks to Tgawly for giving me the idea and the instructions to get the guage cluster open and remove the trim

I think one day, if I win the lottery, I'm going to drive up there and hand you my keys and a stack of money and just tell you to have at it. Looks great.
