Sounds good. Mine also had that slight "whistle" noise. Flapper clamped open will fix it.

Your MF is a lot smaller than the GMPP Borla, so it will be a little louder also.

^^ that's exactly why I went with my GMPP Borla muffler. Deeper tone and sounds great when you get on it, but pretty tame. Perfect IMO.

I did a Borla ProXS #40359. Just a swap, have the valve pinned open so I can pull it when I tow. Sounds great.

It's a 1 1/16"-2" hose clamp. Just a reg 2" one will work. It takes 2 mins. Let me know how it sounds after!!

I used a nail. I can take it out in seconds and it pins it all the way open.

I hose clamped my exhaust flapper last night. It does have a better sound versus stock. Definitely not as good sounding as my 08 GMT-900 SD but much better for a couple of bucks and less than 5 minutes of time. I drove it around listening for v4 drone but never heard it.

Yeah those 900's had a pretty decent stock exhaust on them, at least on a cold start. I also hose clamped the flapper open, gonna check it this morning. Left my buddies at 1am this morning and when I remote started it I could hear a deeper rumble. I installed it in the parts store parking lot with a hot exhaust, idk if it's even fully open lol

Yesterday I also ordered a Kent Moore TPMS tool. These new trucks just cost more and more money. I've been rotating my tires for 50k+ miles and never knew until recently that these trucks needed the re-learn tool, I assumed they just automatically reset their position when the vehicle has been shut off overnight and waiting for a reading from the sensor when you start rolling. So that and the water filtration system took up my play money from my paycheck lol

Also hit the truck with the foam cannon today, looks good when you stay on top of cleaning it haha

And to top it all off I loosened up my helper springs. I was aiming to get a better ride out of it and still have the spring assistance but I think I backed them off too far, ass end kind of feels a little loose now

I hose clamped the flapper open on mine and the whistle is gone!!! Great advice guys, I really appreciate it. The sound is great, only a hair louder but very clean sounding.

how did you build your truck like that in the profile picture? That looks awesome! If possible getting a front clip from a 1954 chevy pick up on my truck would be incredible!!!!!!!!

Added some Seat Cover / Cushion.

Was on the lookout for somethig decent that would not break the bank and was tossed up between something like this and a nice sheepskin which which can be pricey.

These were on sale $41 (reg $119) each at Canadian Tire so decided to give them a try. After 1 smaller roadtrip I think they were worth it at that price.
