How'd you do it?

It’s quiet the process, basically removed the red insert, made transparent white ones, soldered LED together to seal it up with some resin to make it water proof. Let that seal up for a couple days, while I made a harness with a DC converter, fuse and Bluetooth controller. I’m gonna order some more supply to make one for my friend. Hopefully this ones is a bit faster.

Had these on my 2016 with Factory 22s... the fronts were making contact with the wheels and took them all off. Wasn’t happy about that!

What light strips are you going to use? can you link?
also is there a thread for this type conversion?

Quick search on Amazon, I'd likely go with something like these:

https://smile.amazon.com/Flexible-Non-waterproof-Christmas-Decoration-Daylight/dp/B00HSF65MC/ref=sr_1_6?s=lamps-light&ie=UTF8&qid=1535860983&sr=1-6&keywords=led+strip

Cut their connector off, run them around the inside edge of the bed just under the tonneau cover and wire them into the existing bed light circuit.

Elaborate on this please.  I'm not happy with how mine sits either.  I have the dual exit behind the passenger wheel version and the tips angle upward.  I'd like them to angle slightly downward.  Looks dumb right now.

Like 6.2 Midnight said, you can loosen the clamps and that allows for some adjustment. The ones above the axle help some, but the money spot is the big sucker in front of the muffler. With that loose you can rotate the whole muffler and rear pipes. With that I was able to get the desired vertical adjustment I was seeking, ever so slightly downward. In addition to that, that big clamp allowed forward and rearward movement that got my hangers to line up satisfactorily, the rearmost one lines up well, and the outer hanger behind the muffler is spot on. The inner hanger seemed to want to creep right, but a quick tug down with the box end wrench and we are perfecto.

Alignment isn't quite what it was with the factory system, but with that sound I am quite pleased with where I have everything lined up now
