What have you done to your K2 today?

Recommended Posts

This happened today. Have owned the truck for 2 years this month.  Enjoy driving it every time I get in it!

Thank ya, just the normal videos around. One horizontal cut, bend down, cut out pinch weld, hammer, bend back up, hammer, paint and bolt lol

Didn't see much about what to with with the plastic fender besides hacking the ends off. Instead we cut a notch out of the bottom so the full things able to bolt back on without twisting or cutting ends.

Trying to bolt it without cutting anything it would twist bad at this corner. Notch is the way to go, keeps it flush now

Did my 37,500 service and Replaced the cabin filter with one of these new fangled K&N lifetime ones. We’ll see how that goes... it fit well tho.

Also that TPMS relearn tool worked like a charm again. [emoji1360][emoji1360]

Was not happy with the chrome rear bumper.  I had previously plastidipped and painted my front bumper but did not change the rear because it wasn't that bad to my eye.  As time has worn on it has grated on me more and more.  This may sound unusual but I wasn't sure what color I wanted to go with for the rear bumper.  The typical answer would be to color match the truck using victory red but I have a black grill so I am also considering going with black.  To try to get a feel I pulled out the plastidip again to painted it up matte black yesterday to see how I feel about it.   The matte black seems to blend well with the grey/black trim.  What do you think?  Matte black, gloss black or red?

Go with the black. There is such a thing as too much red!

I think it looks awesome the way it is. That’s a sharp looking truck. I have been waiting to get the time and maybe an extra hand to vinyl wrap my bumpers.

That is part of the reason I love my black stripes.  That said though since the rear bumper is more trim than it would be red, I think it would be too little red to be worth it.

Thanks.  The chrome is fine with certain truck colors but red and black definitely look better to me with color matched bumpers (or in my case just non-chrome).  When you find the time and get those bumpers wrapped you will be happy you did.
