I dont want to loose any height so the 5100s at max aren't going to work. It would be nice to gain a little. Should I leave the 5100s set to stock height with the 2.25" level or use just the bottom .5" spacer and adjust the height on the bilsteins? If I use the bottom spacer with the bilsteins what setting would you recommend? I also already have cognito UCAs. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk Use more shock and less spacers. Top level on Bilstein + .5 > 2.25" Spacer kit. Cognitos will be perfect for that setup to maximize the travel.

I currently have Rough Country top and bottom spacer for 2.5” of life and also have the Readylift UCA’s Similar performance offroad. ICON will have slightly more travel and are a threaded shock body with infinite height adjustments between 0-3" whereas the Bilstein has preset heights.

The only offroad I will do is the occasional camping or fishing trip, So my main concern is on road. With both setup for 2.25” of lift (6112+spacer), would the on road be the same? Can thr Icon even be run with the stamped steel arms if I have upgraded the UCA? Edited June 26, 2018 by Arkangel

There wont be much of a difference on-road between those two setups. Differences will be seen over long offroad periods, but ride quality is going to be pretty close.

Jon A Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 My brother has the 6112's on his FJ, and they are very, very good for the price.
CH15GMC Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Just ordered the 6112. Look forward to getting them and testing them out. I was going to get .5" spacer for a little more lift. Is it better to get the top or bottom spacer? I'll looking into UCA later. Will the 6112 have more travel? I wanted to get some 275/65R20 KO2's...should I be concerned? Thanks in advance.

Just a bigger diameter and more dampingSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ordered them MRT Motor Sports (link below) for $590 shipped. Only place I found them listed...but haven't looked a ton. I was ready to do something so when I saw they were out I ordered. http://mrtmotorsports.net/bilstein-shock-sets/bilstein-6112/47238xxx/i-7474057.aspx
Red_5 Posted June 29, 2018 Posted June 29, 2018 If I decide to keep my truck I think I'll go with the 6112s. I had checked with MRT a while back and was going to order some tophats and have them assemble the coilovers so I won't need a spring compressor to install. Plus it will make it easier to remove an put back to stock if I later decide to sell the truck. Are there matching rear shocks? I can't remember.
SuperChevy14 Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Dilemma guys... I have the 5100s installed on the highest setting, and I’m having a pop noise when turning at slow speeds in the front end. I also hear a different pop sound that comes from the steering column. I had the shop that installed the shocks, double check their work and they tightened down everything to specs. And yes, they did a full alignment. My question is, have any of you all had the 5100’s installed and had front end issues and once you took it into service, was it covered under warranty? I have a full extended warranty on mine, but just curious how it may go before I go in. I’ve been told anything 2” or lower should be covered... but that’s just what others have said. Any help or opinions would be appreciated - thanks
