For whatever reason the front end of your truck reminds me of a Rhino right now. It's going to look so sick once you get her lifted this fall/winter. I'm basically going to be copying your front end at some point myself minus the grille.

Well, after a lot of research and some experience, I can tell which way I want to go assuming money doesn't get in the way....cognito 7-9" lift w/cognito UCAs, fox or king coilovers, deaver springs in back and minimize blocks, 35 x 12.50/20 Toyo open country R/Ts, American Force alpha SF6s machined/black...yes, that's the pricey way to go but will ride well and will minimize issues. will most likely need to do some regearing also - perhaps to 4.10s....

Sounds like a good setup and make sure you get coilovers. It makes the ride a night and day difference. I would dare to say that my truck rides better with 6" of lift, 42psi in the tires than stock because of my Fox Coilovers. With that being said I would spend the money and get King coilovers if they are not included with the lift kit. Also let me know what you find on regearing with the 6.2L. It's a freaking pain in the ass since we have the 9.76" rear end and not the standard 9.5" they have used for years. I just keep having companies tell me no I don't have a solution for you and some how no one in my area has regeared the 6.2L either.

agreed - I haven't found anyone to regear the 6.2L - I'm sure it will be figured out given how popular the 6.2L is becoming

Love the route you're going btw. Can't go wrong with A Cognito lift.. Literally one of the best around. And I got a soft spot for forces! If the Canadian dollar wasn't so low Id go with them. But Im stuck on XD Grenades in Satin Black or Fuel Couplers! 20x12

Good choices, like both of those wheels, especially the couplers - used to have the Fuel Nutz and would buy them again - the black face with the machined inserts in 20x12..

Those are very nice! It just sucks that Fuel doesn't offer any wheels in Satin black and thats my colour scheme Im going for!

Here's what I have done to my truck so far:

- RkSport ram air functional hood

- 1st was debadge/remove mouldings from the whole truck except for tailgate bowtie

- Installed an AFE stage 2 CAI - makes a nice hum (Sorry no pics)

- Bakflip Fibermax Tonneau cover

- Sprayed box liner

- 5% Tint in the rear, and 25% in the front

- Royalty Core grille (not installed yet)

- Flo-Pro custom dual exhaust (shop hand bent the tubes)

- Recon smoked tail lights

- Back window sticker (adds 5hp )

 

Lots more to come, will explain later my plans/stuff in process.

If you don't mind me asking. Im a new truck owner and was wondering what a AFE stage 2 CAI was. Thanks for the insight. Trying to game plan modifications, but want to make sure I know what im doing, what the particular mod does, and what it is... lol

Haha no problem at all!

CAI = Cold air intake. Your truck already has one stock, but an after market one like AFE will help it breathe better! Which will give you slightly better mileage, and extra HP. Theres several brands out there, and Im very happy with my AFE! If I didn't go with them, I would got the S&M

Got the shop to wire up my Recon white lightening tailgate bar! Looks pretty good IMO, and the white reverse light helps for the back up camera at night.

Forgot to mention I 1st bought Weather Tech floor mats and love them! Also got the driver assist handle. You temd to miss the small things sometimes!

When you debadged your tailgate. What method of removing the left behind residue did you find most helpful? I have a Sierra Denali and was considering removing the GMC logo, just to give it a little cleaner look. Thanks.
