Really? lol

Still don't know what a G-Wagen has in common with a full size truck.

A few years ago I was all over American trucks.

I bought a brand new one in 2013.

But the only reason why I'm still driving it is that no German car manufacture offers a full size truck with a V8.

I've owned German and I'll never own it again. Not even close to the reliability they claim, and when they break they cost a boat load to fix.

The one good thing about owning a GM is that even though it's only 1 year old parts a lot cheaper than any other brand.

Relax guys. Just pulling your leg and scratch a little on your American pride.

Because when I look at my American truck build in 2013 (two thousand thirteen) and see this:

...then I have trouble to believe that Apollo11 really landed on the moon in 1969.

I probably get expelled from the forum now...

I really wanted a Tundra as well but could not find one configured the way I wanted it and the fuel economy was pretty bad. They are priced cheaper and the few I found close to what I wanted were stickered at 35K but they wouldn't budge on price very much. I bought another silverado mainly because it was the cheapest of all the trucks after rebates and haggling and I really liked the interior. I used to be all about American made but started forgetting about that when Ford and GM started putting tons of money into the Chinese economy buy building car plants over there. If they were such great American companies then they would build all their vehicles here and employ American workers but they choose not to. As far as RAM goes, they have not been an American company for years now, FIAT owns them so those profits go to Italy. I am truly not too impressed with any of the full size trucks out right now but my 2002 Silverado started rusting apart after 12 years of trouble free ownership so I had to get something and the new silverado fit the bill the best for me. Get what you like or you will regret it down the road.

Dodge trucks have a very nice ride, they should since they have struts and coils in the rear. just saying....

My high country with leaf spring rear rides better than my buddies 2011 Ram 1500 with coils. They both ride really nice but my truck is 10 times quieter and smoother. His has more pep with the 5.7 but my 5.3 gets damn good mpg numbers that trump the power difference. Mine also tows better, whether some of yall choose to believe me or not

while our trucks throttle response is piss poor at best, as far as power goes (referring to 5.3) the gm trucks have plenty of power now and can keep up if not beat the Toyotas Nissan and the other big two.

while the tundras appear to be nice I don't feel that they are as robust as the other big three. if im not mistaken toyata still uses the a c-channel type frame is twist with ease. we all know that a weak frame is not good. the interior is ok, their gauges and center stack looks cheap to me and does not seem as nice as the GM trucks. just my .02.

to the OP if your actually serious and not just a troll then I say if you don't like the GM truck then don't get it. buy your 8 year old tundra again with a new body on it. seeing how you have a tundra already I would say it is safe to assume you are ok with your 11-12 mpg no matter how you drive. put a level and bigger tires try not to pay too much attention at the gas pump.

None of the Chinese plants build vehicles for America. GM, Ford and others build in China for the Chinese market due to strict import controls.

Its hard to buy anything truly "American" these days with the global economy. I'm sure all the employees Toyota employs at their US plants could care less who writes their checks or that their stock options are from a foreign company so long as they are earning a living and feeding their families. I think its funny MikeNH wont buy "foreign" but owns a Fiat Chrysler product with Italian Fiat being the company owner and profits going back to Italy. Anyways, I looked at the Tundra too when I bought my GM seeing how I was coming from a Tacoma as well. I didn't care for a lot of things on the Tundra. Price wise, the Tundra was higher, as Toyota doesn't throw huge rebates on the hood. Also while the Tundra was updated, the driveline was going on 8 years old, mpgs lagged behind all the other offerings, the interior and exterior were really ugly IMO. It's as if Toyota was trying to copy Ford in the interior dept.

As for rust, the Toyota trucks are notorious for rust....check out Tacomaworld.com

Here in Chattanooga they build Volkswagon sedans and are beginning to build a new suv. You can buy one here for nothing. I had one. Never again. It didn't just cost a boat load, it cost the whole damn boat, the trailer, the dock, the beer and cooler on the boat.... well you get the idea.

The company truck supplied for my work is an '07 tundra. Has a good ride on dirt and asphalt, good power but feels cheap. From the body to the interior the truck just feels like it was built of cheap materials. Also not to forget the fuel economy. Never made it to 400km on a tank of gas yet.

Tundras have advantages and disadvantages compared to the GM trucks. Where I live you'll pay a fair share more for a Toyota. If they were around the same prices as american trucks, I'd go for whatever features I prefer at time of purchase. But still don't feel the Tundra would be worth the extra buck.

I will bet nobody owned a jap car in the U.S. after December of 1941.How people forget what the Japs did to the U.S. at Pearl Harbor.Who stepped up the Big 3 and converted their factories to the war effort so we could win the war if it wasn't for G.M.,Ford and Chrysler you wouldn't have a free country right now. They step up back then and Americans turn their back on them that is crazy. There will never be any jap car or truck in my driveway I show my loyalty to the people and company that made the U.S. great. Also the reason they have to build in mexico is to compete with the japs on wages to keep the cost down because people here are buying there product.
