DIC displays chevy, radio displays GMC???

So just like the title says, my 2014 GMC Sierra SLT, I picked up a month ago used and am the second owner. I saw a video of a 2014 sierra on youtube and caught a glimpse of the DIC saying GMC, but mine shows a chevy bowtie when starting the truck.

 

I'm just wondering if this is normal or a defect and if i should pursue having it fixed or not.

The IPC needs to be programmed most likely. I would bet that there was a recall for reprogramming the IPC and the wrong program was installed.

what color are the lights? (blue means chevy, red is GMC)

im talking about the lights around the controls for the volume and tuning knobs

Someone messed up when the did a recall reprogram. Take it back to the dealer and they can fix it.

I bet someone did the transfer case recall program. If they do that update incorrectly it will cause the wrong splash screen to be programmed into the truck.

I just purchased a pre-owned Sierra that is doing the same thing. Did the dealer fix this for anyone?

They should if you take it in and show them, they just loaded the wrong file when a recall was done.
