WT 4.2 stereo. USB iPhone issues?

I have the 4.2 non-touch screen smaller screen stereo in my 2015 Silverado. I plug my iPhone in using the USB. It is an iPhone 6s Plus and is at iOS 9.2.1 for the software release. Doesn't matter what iPhone, iPod or apple product I connect using the USB cord the songs freeze, skip like an old record.

Dealer can't fix it, they keep telling me there are no updates, I had the dealer get the keys to a 2016 wt with the 4.2 stereo and it did the same thing. This has been going on since I got the truck.

Has anyone else had this issue and has anyone had this issue fixed?

  Installed the PPE bypass on the RST last week. With ambient temps between 75-95, the trans temp dropped from 195-198 unloaded to between 180-185. Not what I was expecting (also has the Max Trailering package). I have a Nextgen diesel valve body upgrade kit going in this week and the remaining thermostat in the pressure regulator valve will be removed and I'll see what happens. I did the same mod in the Valve body upgrade kit for my '24 3500 HD Duramax and I haven't seen much difference in trans temp but I've just been running back and forth to town so far.

  It's going to last a long time. You seem to take care of your vehicles and that is key. I wish I kept my 2002 Silverado. These new vehicles are not built with quality anymore.

  2022 Refresh LTZ with the console - I put a 4D tech Start/stop eliminator in the truck a week ago and it works great. Yes there are a number of panels you need to take off to get access but its not that hard to do. Figure I spent about 1-1/2 hrs doing the truck and another 10 minutes installing one in the wifes car - that had easy access.
- Forward collision and lane keep assist still a problem on 2022 refresh?

  Did they do this TSB from the post above? New updated program required to get this running is #PIT6504 dated Apr 1 , 2026. Appears the applications cover numerous Chevy and GMC vehicles with fwd col, AEB, and LKA options. Hopefully this helps someone out in the future with these issues.

  I’ve bought a few vehicles from people I know that took great care of them. My Ridgeline is the most recent. 160K miles for 7K. Right at market value. A cream puff. At 200K miles it will need a minimum of 5K in maintenance. Grumpy just put a few dollars in his Reg Cap truck. Another cream puff. You’re still rolling the dice at those miles. I’ll hit the same milestone with the Odyssey in about two years. I like that you can use a service that tracks use vehicles for maintenance. Do you roll the dice or spend a little more get a lower mileage one with the maintenance already done. Spend 15K on a 100K mileage vehicle after maintenance done or spend 5K on one at 200K that’s 15 years old.
