True 3/4 ton front diff in light 3/4 ton (electric actuator)

So I picked up a used true 3/4 ton front diff to put in my light 3/4 ton truck. My question is, what all do I need to wire this into my truck? I'm going from thermal to electric. Any thoughts and insight is greatly appreciated!

I believe the front diffs are different on how they mount. The diff from an 8 lug truck uses 9.25 ring gear whereas the 6 lug(or light 2500)uses an 8.25 ring gear.Make sure the bigger diff will bolt up to your existing mounts. Also,I'm sure you did but I have to ask.....are they the same gearing? The front MUST match the rear diff.If you get the bigger diff to fit there is a well known upgrade from thermal to electric actuator,I did it on my '95 3/4t Suburban and is fairly easy. You'll need a new adapter harness & probably a new actuator.Dorman makes these parts, check Rockauto.com.

Thanks man. Ya, the gearing is the same and the mounts are essentially the same. It already has the electric actuator on it, was just uncertain about what all it needed. Thanks again!

Sounds good! So far, with aftermarket wheel hubs, the 3/4 ton axles fit great. just need to work the mounts a bit, then wire it.
