Katzkin installed in my 2015 Double Cab

Recommended Posts

Thanks everyone :)

The South Carolina sun had a lot to do with how nice they came out, I laid them outside for a couple hours in 90*+ heat and sunlight.

Remove all the time I had to screw around with the seat wiring and swapping seat wires, etc. it really isn't that bad.

Including removal and install each front seat took about 2 hours. The back seat wasn't bad at all, you just have to pay attention to what you're doing. You might have to unvelco the underside and redo it a couple times, but it just gets more wrinkle free each time. The back seat took about 3-3.5 hours total, including removal/install.

The middle seat took around 5 hours total, but most of that was trying to figure out how to get it apart without breaking anything and how to get everything to work without upholstery staples.

*IF* I did another truck, and had an upholstery stapler, I could probably do another truck in 8-10 hours.

To all those that are afraid to try it, aside from the console, it's all clips, snaps, and zippers and velcro. There's a couple youtube videos on the basics.

Want to try something difficult? Hog ring a TMI sport seat kit into your 65 Mustang. This was my first interior job I've ever tried. I then recovered the bench in my 67 C10 and now the Z71.

Surprisingly, it seems ebay has the best prices???

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.X2015+silverado+katzkin.TRS0&_nkw=2015+silverado+katzkin&_sacat=0

I can't 100% verify this, but I have been told if you want to eliminate the giant black covers on the back of the front seats, the 2016-2017 kits fit exactly the same on a 2014-2015, but eliminates the back plastic cover, the material wraps around the seat and has a pocket sewn in.
