That is a very good question.  While many will still debate and this will never end i can provide information i see personally from myself and customer of Procomp that i speak to every day.  

 

To make this short and sweet i will be right out in the open with this...

 

Twin tube shocks are typically gas charged which will generally give you a smooth easy ride.  

 

Monotube shocks are typically Nitrogen charged which will give you a stiffer ride.  

 

The fox shocks can be either dependent on how they are valved and how much nitrogen is in the shock.  

 

All shocks can act the same with similar valving.  The valving is what you notice. 

 

If you drive like an old man i would go with the twin tube shocks.  If you drive like a pissed off teenager i suggest the monotubes.

Wow, so contrary to what I thought it’s driving style vs on road or off-road driving. I’ll be dammed!

 

So I tend to drive a little faster than an old man so monotube shocks it sounds like for me.

Uh Oh... Did BDS slip and post a picture of their 2019 Silverado they are unveiling at SEMA?

 

A Michigan Congressman visited BDS on Friday and there is a picture of him sitting in a 2019 lifted Silverado. Can’t really see the set up to tell how much of a lift or anything but here is the photo....

That has to be 5" or 6" based off tire size, and the strut spacer.

That would sure be odd if it was a 5” lift

 

To me it just doesn’t appear to be a 6” because the wheel wells are not as high as the other 6” lift photos in this thread.

 

Maybe it’s wishful thinking, me hoping it’s a 4” Lift. You know to still be able to park in the garage. I have been parking in the garage this week since I have had my Silverado and I admit, I am kind of spoiled. I measured and I have 5 1/2” of space without hitting the overhang so I am hoping if I go 4” lift and 35’s it will still be able to sleep in the garage at night VS. the 6” lift where it would always have to live outside.
