  2. Hey guys! New to the forum here. Previously had a Tacoma and switched to a 1500. Wanting to do a 5” lift on my 2020 LT and thinking about doing 33.5s on 12x10s. Does anyone have any pics here I could see that are similar? Looking at 275/60/r20s thanks all!
  3. I am wondering if I can fit 35s on a 3in body lift on a 2013 Silverado Z71 4x4. Will I need wheel spacers or offset wheels? Will stock 18in rims work or do I need aftermarket ones? Thanks
  4. Hello everyone, I've been lurking on the forums for the past few months and decided to finally post some of my questions. I'm new to the truck world, always had a car/suv up until I bought my 2014 Sierra Denali last fall. I love the truck so far, zero complaints - BUT I want to add my own touches to it this summer. I've been looking into getting into some mods over the summer months and found a set of 22x14 wheels that I really like. My question for all the wheel/suspension guys here is 1) what would I need to modify on my truck in order to get these to fit? If I need a lift, what's the minimum I can get away with? 2) what would be the optimal tire size?
  5. I get it, I'm an idiot who should search the forum. As much as I accept this, I have searched the forum and I completely suck at it because I can't find what I'm looking for. Initially, all I wanted to do was just level my truck. However, after purchasing a leveling kit that gets placed on the bottom of the strut, I read a ton of reviews saying they suck because they put stress on the control arms, so I returned the kit. Since I like the look of the AT4, I figured I'd look at 2-3" suspension lift kits and discovered there are some that aren't that expensive, so now I'm pretty set on going this route. My question is-- do these lift kits also level the truck, and if not, will doing so put the same stress on the control arms as leveling it with the stock suspension? Clearly, my idiocy stretches far beyond searching ****** on this forum... I was planning to go with Bilstein shocks anyway and found this kit online. Does anyone know if this will also level my truck? I was also looking at this 3" Superlift that comes with Bilsteins, it's more expensive, but if it does more of what I'm looking for, I'm down. Call me an idiot, I'm married, so I'm used to it. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers!
  6. I'm looking too lift my 2016 4x4 3.5 inches. Will a 33x12.5r18 fit without rub? May trim liner back but no metal as the truck is brand new. If not what is the largest alternative size?
  7. Welcome to my build! Started with a 2019 Silverado 1500 LTZ 4wd 5.3L, which I bought with 9k miles on her in August of 2020. Got a crazy good deal on it, justified me driving to Georgia from Houston to pick it up. It even came with the Ranch Hand front bumper on it already, other than that she was stock. Little bit of background on my past trucks, I've been fortunate to own quite a few: 07 JK Wrangler, 08 Silverado 1500 LT Z71, 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Z71, 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT w/ 6.2L, 2016 Denali 2500 Duramax, 2017 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71, and finally my 2019 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71. I also have my 2015 ZL1 Camaro for a little bit of fun on the side, my wife has gone off to German side and is rocking her Porsche Cayenne. So here's the current list of mods: 4" Zone Lift kit w/ Fox rear shocks 35x11.50's Nitto Terra Grapplers on stock 20's Front and back Ranch Hand bumpers Hooker Blackheart Cat-back exhaust utilizing factory dual tips K&N Series 63 cold air intake Rough Country Automatic drop down steps Camlocker Tool box Front windows tinted to match back factory tint Front windshield tint strip Chevy All-Weather floor liners Stubby antenna Just went on a shopping spree of sorts and this is what I've got on order: Boost auto parts auto fog mod Putco Blade LED Tailgate Light Bar w/ Putco wiring harness All LED bulbs; replacing turn signals, license plate lights, and reverse lights. And the GRAND finale, King 2.5 PRS coilovers The list of things to come in the near future: High Country cluster from White Audio and Media, had their Tahoe cluster in my 2017 and it was fantastic! Waiting to order the rear King Resi PRS shocks until my checkbook bounces back a little bit. Lol Going to be putting on several LED light bars and maybe a pod or two, going to do my best to blend them into the Ranch Hands and make them as non conspicuous as possible. I'm strongly considering doing a Dyno tune w/ Kooks long tubes as well. Going to be doing ceramic tint all the way around. Limo on back windows and back glass, 15% on front windows, and 35% on the front windshield. I've got a drop in plastic bed liner that drives me crazy, so I'll more than likely go ahead and get the bed sprayed. Things I'm considering: Looking into changing up the rims and trying to clear 37's when the time comes for new tires. Blacking out the badges? Still not sold on this one... Turbo or a supercharger kit? This one would be way down the line though. Anything else that catches my attention, let me know if you can come up with anything! Here is the truck from stock:
  8. Forgive me if this question has been discussed but I could not find anything with a search. I have a 21 Trail Boss that I want to lift 4" for a total of 6" to fit 35's. I have been looking for awhile now at the available lifts specific to the Trail Boss and AT4 and have narrowed it down to two... The BDS 1805H strut spacer lift with UCA's. https://bds-suspension.com/product?kid=1805H And Rough Country 27550 with their Vertex damping adjustable coilovers. https://www.roughcountry.com/gm-suspension-lift-kit-27530c.html The cost of the kits are within a couple hundred dollars of each other. I have watched all the reviews I could find on the Vertex coilovers and they seem to be good. I like the idea of them but I understand they can't be rebuilt so if they fail out of warranty I would have to replace them. Add to that the general sentiment that Rough Country in general isn't necessarily the greatest in terms of quality makes me very uncomfortable putting the kit on my truck. BDS on the other hand has great reviews and a stellar warranty but I only get a strut spacer lift with new UCA's that retains the factory coilover with the Rancho shocks. What are your thoughts, opinions and or experiences? Your input is much appreciated!
  9. Good morning everyone, I recently purchased a 2018 GMC Sierra Crew Cab SLT All-Terrain package. I'm personally wanting to install a leveling kit and I believe I've selected one. I've read a lot about leveling kits for 2017-18 trucks and this seems like a great kit. However, there isn't many reviews on this product by ReadyLift. The appeal of this lift is the UCA replacements and the <2" height it allows. I'm wanting to go with 305/55/20 or 285/60/20 tires with my stock AT wheels and I want as much clearance possible. I found maybe 2-3 members on here with this lift and I'll quote them below. My question is, will this work with my All-Terrain package? In the description of the kit it states, "Will not work on Z71 packaged vehicles with factory Rancho® struts." Yet on ReadyLift's website, there is nothing supporting that statement. Does anyone have any information or review for this kit? Thanks!
  10. What's up everyone, I am new to the truck scene and in need of some help. I own a 2015 Silverado LT / RWD and have plans to make it into a somewhat of a pre runner. The question I have is, I am looking for some good suspension to be able to fit some 37" tires. I am currently running Pro Comp 8" lift kit (not too specific as truck came that way) but I am looking for something better as the ride is to stiff for my liking and also looking for something lower for that pre-runner look. Thanks and hopefully I can get some help from you veterans!

What do u recommend? Is the tires size ok with the 2.5inch lift? Tire size 265/70R17 By the way the front lift is Motofab. Hope i can get answers.

  13. I just bought a 2015 Sierra Denali and I would really like to lift the front end to level the truck out. I’d rather not drop the rear end. I have scoured the forums and the Internet, looking for a leveling kit that works with the Magnetic Ride Control. Has anyone successfully installed a leveling kit that works with the magnetic ride control? I assume the kit would have to include some sort of relocation brackets for the sensors? I saw someone said the suspension maxx kit works with the magnetic suspension, but I did not find any information to back that statement up. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!
  14. On my 2015 Silverado Crew Cab 2WD, I currently have the RC 2.5 inch spacer leveling kit with all stock shocks. I am wanting to replace all 4 shocks with Bilstein 5100s. Does anyone have experience combining these shocks with the spacers from RC? I would also like a little more ground clearance. Nothing too crazy, just a little more aggressive look than the stock 2WD height with a leveling kit. Trying to decide if I take the spacers out and go with the RC 3.5 inch suspension lift with upper control arms, remove the spacers and go with Bilstein 5100 on the highest setting all around, or simply replace all shocks with 5100 and keep the spacers up front. Just trying to figure out what will get me the look I want and also be the most mechanically sound so I don't cause any weird issues with ball joints, etc. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!
  15. Looking to upgrade the stock wheels and tires on my '19 Sierra 1500 (extended cab, 4WD). I can get away with just blocks if I go with 33" tires, but need a lift if I go to the 35" tires. I don't want rubbing...but also don't want to get too aggressive on the lift. It is suggested that I go with a 6" lift. I don't do any offloading and I'm not trying to "act" like I do. I just love the look of the bigger whee/tire on this truck. Looking for suggestions from those who went with the 33" tire vs the 35" tire and what size lift you used (if you went with the 35" tire). Just throwing this out there so I can get some feedback from those who have already "figured it out." Thanks all!
  16. I’m shopping lifts for my 2015 Silverado Z71. Yes I know BDS is the best, and everyone loves Zone, and most people hate RC.... but what about Pro Comp? 4wheelparts suggested their 6” Pro Comp with new struts, upgraded shocks, improved ride quality etc (they own pro comp so I’m not surprised). Seems like a good price and 4wheelparts is a reputable installer with their own warranty on labor/workmanship, which is a nice piece of mind. the kit looks good and I have yet to find aNy bad reviews about pro comp on the web...but that’s the problem.. I can’t find ANY reviews about 2014-2018 GM Pro Comp 6” lift. here is a link to the kit I’m considering. Thanks in advance.   17. New to the forum and I’m looking for some help. I have a 2014 Sierra that I’m taking to get a 4” readylift and 35/12.5/22 trail grapplers installed. Im keeping my stock 22” flakes. The lift company says I will need spacers for stock wheels. But Idk what size should I run. I do not want to trim my studs!!
  18. I've got a 2002 gmc sierra 1500 denali, i can't find a single company that makes a lift for the truck. I'd like to go any size between 3 and 6 inch but all the companies ive talked to say there lifts wont work because of the rear steer not being able to function properly. I really dont care about the rear steer i've never used it and never will use it so are there any lift kits anyone knows of that will work if i dont use rear steer? Thanks in advance!
  19. Selling a brand new set of Baja Kits boxed upper control arms. I sold my 2016 1500 for a Duramax so these never got put on my truck. They are $899 brand new, im asking $700 spilt the shipping. They fit 14-18 silverado / sierra 1500 with factory aluminum upper control arms, and fit 16-18 silverado 1500 with factory stamped steel upper control arms. NEED GONE!!!!!
  20. Hi Everyone, I currently have a 4” BDS Lift without the DSC coilovers and I’m curious to find out if it’s worthwhile getting the the DSC coilovers. My shop quoted me at $1750 for coilovers and alignment to upgrade my current set up from the BDS struts to the fox coilovers. Now, my confusion is that my current setup rides quite well and I have no complaints (with BDS front struts) but when doing some basic research, it seems like people are speaking extremely highly of the coilovers for on-road and off-road performance. I am someone who spends 90% on road and as a result I haven’t felt a lack of performance from it, but I can’t help but be curious if it’s worthwhile in the long run. Just thought I’d get some opinions. Thanks in advance!

  22. I just completed a 6-inch suspension lift on a 2019 Suburban Premier 4x4. The Adaptive Cruise control keeps stating "Temporarily Unavailable". What do I need to do? Recalibrate the radar box behind front bumper? Relocate the radar box? Is there any way to bypass the radar system and have standard cruise control??? Thank you for your help!
  23. This has been an on-going research project of mine. I discovered when I inquired about having the Trail Boss (TB) factory lift kit (GM part# 84629787) added to my 2019 LT Z71, that I could not have the kit installed due to the secondary composite leaf springs on my truck. Upon further investigation, I found that ONLY the LT with 5.3L (and LT with 3.0 diesel and short box) had the composite leaf springs preventing the truck from having a TB lift added. On the GMC side, I found out the Sierra Denali also uses the same leaf springs with composite secondary as the LT 5.3L. My first impression was, “why the heck would GM do this?” Why wouldn’t the LTZ or High Country (HC) have the the composite leaf? Why would only the mid-level LT have it? The Sierra Denali has it and it’s a $60K+ truck. My LT averages around $45K. I might be a little upset as a LTZ or HC owner to find out my rear suspension is the same as on any Custom trim truck, or even, the base W/T model. I’ve doing a lot of reading on composite leaf springs and there are more advantages to them than disadvantages. Though they are dimensionally bigger (thicker) than the steel counterpart, they weight a lot less, last longer, and offer better damping properties than steel. GM has had a good track record using composite leaf springs. The same technology has been used on the corvette since 1997 with the introduction of the C5. Disadvantages are minimal, such as, they are more expensive to produce, can burn up in a fire, and in this case, can’t be further bent or altered out of original specification. This must be the reason GM won’t allow the lift to be added to vehicles with a composite leaf. I’m sure the leaf could take the additional stress, GM engineers just want to play it safer than sorry. So with this, the Silverado LT 5.3L (and LT 3.0 diesel with short bed) and the Sierra Denali are the only trucks to use the composite leaf. Though I’m disappointed I won’t be able to get the TB lift added, I’m now pretty stoked to find out my LT has more mechanical innovation put into the suspension and I didn’t have to spend $15K+ more for a Sierra Denali to get it. However with this, it seems that if someone is looking for a top-end truck, the Denali would be the better choice over the HC which lacks the particular composite leaf spring feature, if that mattered to the buyer. For reference, attached here are the GM compatibility charts for the Silverado and Sierra to see if you can add the TB lift kit. Also here is a link to the previous discussion about the TB lift kit where you can find more detail about installation and issues surrounding the composite leaf springs.
  24. Hello all, Recently I purchased a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation. I’ve been debating on putting a lift or leveling kit on it since I bought it. I’m looking for bulkier but also clean look. Nothing crazy. Just beefy and aggressive. I don’t plan on doing much off reading. Any advice on which kit I should buy? What brand? I also am hoping to keep my wheels as they are super sick, but would like some beefier tires any advice on those as well? Thank you!
  25. New to the forum, first time posting. I have a 2017 1500 Silverado LT, 3-inch MotoFab leveling kit, wheels are Chevy stock CV32, 20x9, 28mm offset, 6.1 inch backspacing, have installed a 1/4 inch wheel spacer. The 1/4 inch (6.35mm) spacer was installed to stop rubbing of the stock Stamped UCA. Tires are 275/60/20. I'm what to install a new UCA that corrects the UCA ball joint angle. Problem is, ll the UCAs I've looked at require 4.5 inch backspace or less. Need to find a solution. i.e. new UCA and Spacer; 3" spinal, UCA adn spacer; lower to 2" and keep stock UCA. Any help that y'all can provided would be appreciated.
