Removed the flapper.  Still have it at home if this thing drones but I don’t think it will.

It's been done a few hundred times already, but I swapped out the chrome exhaust tips for the OEM black ones. This finishes off all the chrome on my truck, the way it should have came from the factory. This will probably be all the mods until we get our house built and moved in; gotta save cash.

Here is some advise if you are not going to take the steps out of the bumper to do the install.

  1. Get yourself either a battery powered (preferred) or an air powered 1/4" drive ratchet
  2. Reuse your existing tips speed nuts
  3. Pay attention to the placement
    • The R & L are different
    • It is stamped into the top of the tip which is which
  4. Start with the control bolt (inner bolt on both sides), then the one above the exhaust, followed by the outside bolt
    • Don't tighten any of them down until you get them all started
  5. Tighten the 2 bolts in the bumper up evenly
  6. If you have big forearms, don't attempt not removing the steps

I added lights to my Diamondback HD.  They wanted $50 for a battery operated one.  I got this kit from amazon LED Lights for $28 bucks, a little split loom to cover the wire ($10) and a few feet of extra wire ($10).  I wired into the constant power from the trailer connection and now I have two light bars, one for each lid of the top (kit comes with two light bars).  It has a remote that you can change the color too, which is really nice in the morning changing to hunt (turn it on red and you don't mess up your night time vision)lights.thumb.jpg.b718ce78f3c1248c06fa8ebc1a5a8627.jpgswitch.thumb.jpg.a977e05cd68ae1e67d4e7d7d23d4db74.jpg

It finally arrived, the word "Shortage" is a broad spectrum. Soft top camper, paid in full 6 months ago, had my doubts to cancel 3 different times but just kept thinking "maybe 1 more month?''. Put it to use right away, camping trip 260 miles at 70 to 85 mph, no noise no rattle, The wait was worth it.

Those trees are tall.  Any chance you have a closer pic of the inside?  Which brand?  I think there is only one but wanted to be sure.  I have the carbon pro bed so not sure if it will mount w/o massive intervention.  Thanks.

Thanks Steve! A fellow camper came up to me and asked "what color is that?", he had placed an order for Blue and said after seeing my truck he said he might change his order before it's set in stone, LOL..

I'll add some pictures later after I've washed the truck, but I added a couple of mods for towing to my 2019 Denali. First, added the Brembo brake upgrade. It's pricey, but wanted the added stopping force. Love the look too. Definitely a lot more grab and a lot less pedal squish.

I also took it to a suspension shop and had a 1,000 pound rated leaf spring custom molded and added to both of the stock leaf packs. It definitely rides a little stiffer; not harsh, but stiffer. Added rake to the stance which I'm good with since the truck sat pretty level prior anyway.

I'm towing a 27 foot Airstream, max weight of 7,600 pounds and tongue weight loaded of 870 pounds. To that I added a ProPride hitch which, when loaded and on the trailer, upped the tongue weight to 910 against my 930 limit. That's before cranking up the weight distribution bars. Note, I won't use the added spring as an excuse to overload the rated hitch weight or payload; I'll be keeping the pickup bed pretty much empty when towing. But I anticipate a reduction in porpoising effect I still had on occasion even with the weight distribution bars cranked up. I won't be towing again until spring so it will be a while before I can report on the experience.
