So here’s my latest. My truck remains at the dealership after dropping it off last Friday. To recap, this is the 2nd time it’s been in for the ESC issue with no end in sight. My dealership has been fantastic and in no way am I slamming them, but they asked me to come in today to get me in pickup loaner instead of the tiny crossover I’ve been in.

The service department showed me the email correspondence between the dealership’s tech and the corporate GM tech. Corporate acknowledges that there is a problem with these trucks and advises my dealership to keep me in a loaner for the foreseeable future because my vehicle is unsafe! They further advised the dealership to communicate only via email because they are inundated with calls from dealerships all over the country experiencing the same problems with these trucks. Corporate said all the software updates have failed to fix the issue and that they’re at a loss at this time.

Ironically, the My Chevrolet app isn’t working and now shows an error message.

To further pour salt in the wound, GM Financial just took my automatic payment out so my truck can sit in the rear lot of the dealership. It really sucks in plain English!

Just picked up my trunk from dealer this afternoon.  Service department stated that GM techs have posted, on a internal site, that after the brake controller software is loaded the battery needs to be re-charged, nothing about reloading software or anything else needing to be done.  I find this kind of strange since driving the vehicle should charge the battery and it started fine after the initial update.  I was a little hesitant to take the truck however everything seems to be fine so far, there will be a lawsuit if not!  I just logged into the MyChevy app and getting a error message, which is odd because I unlocked the truck with the app earlier when I picked it up from the dealer so something is going on with the MyChevy app now.   They might be zeroing in on something, lets hope they figure it out quickly, otherwise I will be looking for a credit from OnStar.

I just tried my remote start via the app and it said service not available twice, but on the third try it did work. So either they are disabling the vehicles with problems or it is a glitch in the system. Try tomorrow and see what happens.

To bad you could not get a copy of that email. At least some attention is coming to a head it looks like.

Heard from my contact in the GM truck engineering department. He says that starting tonight they are rolling out some sort of software patch to be delivered over the air to vehicles that took the brake update. Will see what that means.

Time will tell. My brother has a 2019 Silverado and has not done the recall repairs and hasn’t had any problems thus far.

The loaner Trax they put me in over the weekend was the ultimate chick magnet and my testosterone levels went through the roof!!

Well the Trax could be carried in the bed when needed.

I did not think they could do software OTA where it concerns the vehicle internal modules other than the Onstar, Entertainment and Communication equip. Maybe the Onstar software is the entity being updated and if it is we will know by an Onstar update probably. If they OTA to the Brake Control Module, I guess we will never know.

I have no technical expertise when it comes to these things so best I can do is parrot what he's saying.. ha!

Well the Software p/n for the Brake Module is 84758789 after the Recall N192268090 and for Onstar Module it is 84600170. So if any of these numbers change, I guess we will know which component got programmed. Via Website https://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web/.

There is word out there that the Infotainment update is coming this month also in version 807 where 805 is the latest in the vehicles. Well as of this morning no software update noticed.

Adaminnesota says "I stopped by the dealer today to get something out of my truck, and figured I would ask for an update.  They said GM has acknowledged the issue but there is no fix yet.  Apparently there is a software fix ready for the 2020 models but not yet for the 2019 models, so I'm keeping the loaner for the time being"

Nothing that I could see either looking at the website, my OnStar module is on a pervious version from what you stated above.  I also checked the MyChevy app and still getting the same error message, “No server response received. Your request may have completed successfully. (705_3)”.  Lets hope in the 807 release for the Infotainment system fixes the volume issue with iPhone and the issue where no sound comes out unless you change the radio source or channel after starting the truck.

On Friday, 01.03.2020, I got into my new (2,200 mles) 2019 Silverado LTZ. I started the car, and I put in drive, the same message came up as the gentleman's picture above, brake failure, etc. The car careened down the drive- there was ZERO BRAKES and I was almost struck by an eastbound vehicle in front if my house. I had it towed to a Chevy dealship. They did reset the thing, but basically said tough shit its a Chevy thing and they may come out with a software update in a few weeks, but they wont tell us if that happens, and our dealership wont tell you. Not our gig. This is the service manager and honestly he really didn't give a shit- just wanted me gone, next customer. I can hardly keep typing cuz I'm madder with each keystroke. Chevy is shit. I had a Honda ridgeline for 15 years and I NEVER had IN for service other than tires, brakes, etc. It aslo drove bteer. This ltz has a chevy shake vibration- it drives like shit, so you might ask why then did I buy it? The "salesman" told me there was a drive terrain adjustment that would calm it down. He lied.

Coming on here bashing Chevrolet isn't the intent of this site and won't help your problems.  We are all frustrated with the issues we are having and try to stick to just that, the issues we are experiencing.  The fact that you continued with the purchase of a vehicle you didn't like on the test drive and took the salesman's word says a lot.

To AK High Country. Ok, I was rattled, it was a scare. But you are correct and I concede. I would like to continue on the site. Stick to issues. I have a 2013 Chevy volt- perfect since the day I got. And ok the Ridgeline wasn’t a real truck. I hope this makes things a little better.
