Same here, super easy, broke one of the tabs off on the ones coming off but wasn’t planning on using them again or I would have been more careful. Much better with the color matched caps.

There are two clips right there, my caps were pretty snug without much of a gap to get the tool in but with some finagling finally sod it in there.

pull up or back?

Back would be ideal if you’re saving the caps but any way is fine if you’re scrapping them. I just popped them up and out of 4 clips (between both mirrors) I only broke one.

Looks like 2 hook clips and 2 snap clips...

Curious if anyone’s knows how the bottom of the mirror mine has a crack in from I guess a rock and I’m trying to find a new one but can’t do you have to buy a whole new mirror assembly?

I know I'm bringing this old post back to life, but just want to get a confirmation from someone who used trim tools that it is doable to remove the cap without breaking any of the tabs off?  I'm wanting to pull mine off to paint and reinstall so I need the tabs to not be broken.
