Just an FYI, the newest infotainment update is becoming available. I assume it’s a staggered rollout like in previous versions, but you can check to see if it’s available for your truck as follows.

From the home page...Settings- System- Updates. You need either the GM LTE service or have your truck connected to WiFi.

This promises to bring bug fixes with HUD, climate off message and some other crap that’s been annoying! I am installing now so we will see.D0B0C70B-8342-4027-9B2E-B27D67CC1A91.thumb.jpeg.c4667ea766a0086ca5cb65613c279a49.jpeg

I honestly cannot believe how bad that system is. Its WELL over the 100th release for software (internal and external) and its still buggy as all get out and people want to put them into the old trucks?

I think I'm either on 509 or 507 as well. Very annoying. 12/2018 build date

Dealer can do the update if the OTA doesnt push (as its about 50/50 on that it seems).

I never received the 803.1 update.  Still stuck on v.509.  Ugh!!!

803 got recalled I believe. I was on it and it sucked. It brought more bugs than it fixed.

So far 805 has at least fixed 803’s problem of not highlighting the preset that you are currently tuned to, or disappearing and coming back.

I've read here that the 2020's will have an updated Infotainment display with album artwork, etc? I would imagine that's purely software and not hardware.

So I wonder when that will roll out to the 2019 models?

Mine had a build fate of March 29, 2019

Wander what version mine came with?

I'll check for the update. Thanx

Scheduled for the Nav upgrade tomorrow which also upgrades IOS to IOT capability and I should get the posted speed limit sign which I miss from the Traverse. Just checked with the service people and it will also install the latest upgrade.....maybe even fix the "Climate Off" bug.

I had enrolled in the GM rewards program and never received points for the Silverado purchase....called and they boosted 25000 points so redeemed for $100 off the Nav upgrade.

Here is the bulletin from it:

Some customers may comment on software issues. A continuous improvement software update is being released with updates made on the following areas: HVAC, Bluetooth, and general system improvements. Most notable improvements include:

  • False Climate Off Message when HVAC is active.

  • Delay after ignition on for Bluetooth contacts to download.

  • General Bluetooth robustness changes and improvements.

  • Radio display shows partial image, vertical lines, or in rare instances may smell a hot odor or see smoke when entering the vehicle or shifting out of Reverse.

  • Static pop from speaker when door is opened.

  • Preventative robustness enhancement for RVC.

  • Navigation picture display is incomplete on HUD during Active Guidance View.

  • Robustness improvements for software update.

  • Rare loss of chime at ignition on.

  • Australia only – When installing calibration archive to deactivate OnStar, it does not fully remove OnStar features (Australia).

  • Australia only – loss of turn signal indicator click clack (Australia)

The cause of the condition may be software anomalies.

Correction

A new radio software update, version V805, is being released for vehicles equipped with Infotainment system RPO IOS, IOT or IOU, in addition to providing general robustness and stability enhancements. This update includes all enhancements from previous software version releases.

This update can occur remotely through in-vehicle prompts from the radio display. However, some customers may decline the vehicle update or the update may be unsuccessful. Along with the vehicles mentioned above, vehicles in unconnected markets, and fleet customers will need the dealer to reprogram the radio with the new software package.
